There was a Yara sighting at the Heart Bar in Planet Hollywood. I'm supposed to say hi to Viejo from a particular Cambodian waitress there.

OK. Let's meet up for dinner on Sunday then. We'll be having breakfast at the Hilton Sunday morning and will probably watch the games there.

Had a chance to get together with ttinco, sharky99 and Iceman at the Hilton theater to watch the NFL games today. It was good seeing all of you guys. We will be having lunch on Monday at Boston's pizza near Olympic Gardens. Give me a call if you want to meet there.

Tell me about the Hilton Theater. What time do you have to get there to get a seat? How many screens do they have? Can you bet at the theater?
Is it booths, tables or just chairs? How about the food? I know at the Hilton sportsbook, you have to get their at 8 to get a seat. Can I show up at 9 and get a seat at the theater? Thanks.

It's like a movie theater, just chairs. In fact, it's where Elvis played while he was in Vegas.

We got there about 10:30 Vegas time, about 1/2 hour after the early games started. There was plenty of room. We went up to Akillies' room to make bets just before the late games and had no trouble getting seats for the late games when we went back there.

They have a little satellite book outside the theater where you can easily get down 2nd-half bets.

They have a couple screens off to the side and they have 2 main screens in front and then a couple split screens to the side of them.

If you want food you have to go to the sportsbook where they have restaurants but you can bring the food back to the theater. There is a mini-bar just off the theater.

The only detraction was that the volume of the center game was turned up a bit loud so you have to choose a place where you aren't blasted by the television feed of the game.

The weather is perfect here. Shorts weather all day.

I haven't touched anyone's food.

:notme:

Speaking of food, sharky99 suggested going to the Italian restaurant at Tuscany Villa. After looking over the menu we decided to try the Cantina Mexican restaurant there. I thought it was pretty good but Akillies and Mr. Leisure raved over it. It was a pretty good price too.

I really, really ought to start ringing these fuckers' phone off the hook & see if I can convince them at going to the Riv for poker & going to bed at 10pm is not the way to sniff out the tourist poker players.

California people....fuck, you'd think that they'd know better.

We went to the Riv earlier last night and it was dead. There was maybe 1 table of a few guys so we decided to head back.

the theater is only open on sun. nfl. plenty of seating [1500] you will have no problem at any time. they have drawings every 5 minutes for prizes, some were pretty good. no one won any. they show every game, 11 screens 3 are 20 feet, one is in hd. they have beer, food and betting in the theater too.
