A VERY good friend of mine is creating a listing and here is the story.....
She has been married for about 3 years and has a 5 year old son with her husband. They have been seperated for 6 months now and has been trying to get a divorce. The guy is somewhat bi-polar I guess, because one day he is like ok lets be civil and then the next, he is like, fuck you! This guy has 2 other kids from a previous marriage and I guess really is a pretty good dad. The thing is that they had nothing that they owned together. His family owns a mechanic shop and he works for them and get paid like a measily 25k or so a year, but his old man pays ALL of his bills. The house they lived in was owned by the old man. All she wants is to be divorced, but the guys family is willing to spend any amount of money to make sure that he does not have to pay child support.
He has made it perfectly clear, that he does not care how much he see's the kid, but he refuses to pay child support and the only way that works is if he has joint custody or what not.
No that you have the back ground, here is my question....
She has limited credit history, not bad credit, but just not a lot of credit.
She found a lawyer who is a friend of a friend and he is going to charge 3k for the whole thing and she does not have it.
What should she include in her story on prosper? Should she make the guy look like an ass? Should she mention that she would like to have the ability to move out of the state or would that turn some bidders off?
I am 100% certain that she is going to pay it back and if she would have come to me 5 weeks ago, I would have stroked a check right away, but since then I have tied up too much money in a business venture, that I am already getting worried and may need to borrow some money from a friend myself.
Any ideas on how to help her write a profile that would get funded would be great.
