Anyone sick of seeing bands like Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, etc. doing these big game intros like they are doing tonight on TBS for the playoff game?

Whether it's MNF, SNF, Super Bowl, MLB Playoffs, etc...the same f'cking bands w/the same cheesy style and sh!tty music. Are these bands that desperate that they need to pimp themselves out all the time? I guess so.

Just cause the Jonas Brothers haven't been performing doesn't mean you have to trash great rock and roll bands.

When I trash a great rock and roll band I will let you know, but IMO Bon Jovi and Aerosmith both suck.

BTW, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the Jonas Brothers and the little boys you probably have come to your house to play video games and watch porn...as long as they don't tell their parents.

Last I checked, ND is 3-1. Also, there is plenty of college football on other TV stations on Saturdays, so feel free to tune in elsewhere.

ELMO--I know. You either hate 'em or love 'em. In my case, I love 'em both. So much that before I proposed to my wife, I was clear that 1) I attend/watch the Yanks whenever possible, preferably every night; 2) I watch ND every Saturday. 10 years and counting and she is still here (although not always happy about it).

Yes. I don't watch any of that shit anymore because it's all washed up bands for the most part. I have no interest in watching the Super Bowl halftime this year with Bruce Springsteen either. I don't mind rock music at all, but not the old, washed up bands that are closing in on 60.

Too bad they'll never put someone like Kanye West or The Game as the halftime show, or pregame for the World Series. That would actually be worth watching.

Yes, it appears Bruce Springsteen is starting to join the ranks of the over-the-hill gang. Read today that he is going to do a fundraiser concert w/Billy Joel (another 60+).

Alistair--It's all good. Was just in a fiesty mood last night...

I do respect Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel as musicians, and can tolerate them in small doses. My point is that they need to freshen things up a bit with these halftime shows, intros, etc.

As for who I like, and I'm not saying they should or could open the shows (partially because most of 'em are old, dead or both): the Who, the Clash, Pink Floyd, Green Day, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Beastie Boys to name a few. Also rap like Snoop, Dre, Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan, etc.
