Anyone sent bankwire to Hollywood troublefree?

I sent it over 24 hours ago and no response from Hollywood. I sent 3 emails already to customer service... usually customer sportsbooks would at least respond with a courtesy reply?

Calling them is next, but in this day and age of internet books you'd think you could at least handle most issues by email. Besides, I figure they'd have to call the bank or get some supervisor to verify something so calling an 800# is mostly useless for this particular situation.

In fact, my emails specifically asked them to call me... that way I can get the right person on the phone immediately and not have to go through customer service hold, forward, hold, etc.

You reading this Will?

Well, I'd first like to say props to Will for contacting me so quickly on two separate occasions.

But the results are still very unsatisfactory. I sent the bankwire on Mon, received a bankwire confirmation that same day. Will says he's checked up and down and all around with their bank but could not find it.

So now I have to do the bank run-around game. My bank's wire dept. is closed for the day so now I have to wait for tomorrow.

Every bankwire I've ever done has always been resolved within 24 hours....

Winninghand: I'm not so much conerned with my $ being "safe" as I do have some recourse with my bank for reversing wires within a certain time period.

My issue is why does this bankwire take 4 days (and counting) when I've done wires to other books before trouble free? Also, my first 3 emails went unanswerd before Will called me. I didn't even get a courtesy reply "please call our 800 number".

And when I talked to Will again today, he said he tried sending me emails but "we are having problems with our mail server".

Look, I know Hollywood is a good book, but I hate excuses and poor customer service.

5 days and counting... Hollywood still knows NOTHING.

Prolly won't be till Monday to even investigate the issue further.

Going on 6 days, no response from Hollywood customer service or Will.

This is a bit annoying if you ask me...

Dottom--- I've sent many bank wires to Hollywood and have only had a problem one time and that was because the bank on my end forgot to send out the wire. Wil at Hollywood has always been very right on with me in all my dealing with that company. Have you contacted your bank about the wire.I'm sure everything will be rectify by Monday.

Bankwires are bitch at times. Keep on Hollywood, but understand these international wires aren't trouble free and can take time.

lakerfan: it was a domestic bankwire. Hollywood uses domestic bank and redirects the $$ to make it easier for US customers to send $.

joe: I use Netbank and they send eletronic confirmation the same day the wire is sent, almost 6 days ago. And yes, I've also called Netbank and confirmed the $$ was sent.

I've sent bankwires to Russia from Netbank and they show up within 1-hour.

I'm not "worried" that the money is gone. I'm upset that 1) it's taken this long; and 2) Hollywood customer service is twiddling their thumbs. And yes I have Will's direct contact info.

I've wired to Hollywood, and it was trouble free. I have had problems at other books, even solid ones.

A couple things you should do... 1. Get a copy of the wire transfer confirmation. If the wire doesn't go through within 24 hours, fax the confirmation to customer service. In most cases, your own bank botched something.

I've only had one "failed" wire experience, and that was with Millenium. After 4 attempts, I gave up (Mill kept giving a bank account that was closed, notwithstanding my repeated contacts to its customer service).

We have talked to our bank and there's no record of your wire. It has been 7 days and I cannot think of one reason why we wouldn't want to capture the funds.

The fact of the matter is that if you did not submit the COMPLETE bank wire information in your transaction -as forwarded to you- there's really nothing we can do, my man. We have no say in a transaction that we have not received.

I have talked to all the managers in our bank and as much as I would like to help you, I can't do anything else. Please call your bank and make sure to include the last 2 lines of the bank wire instructions. Once you have submitted the COMPLETE information, we're certain that we will finally receive that wire.

I talked to my bank and they say the $$ is there.

Would you like me to post the exact bank account, ABA #, swift code, and address here for all to confirm??

I sent you the bank account name and account # by email. Can you tell me that there is no bank xfer from me on 1/12 or 1/13, in the amount specified, TO THAT BANK ACCOUNT #????

I'm not saying your bank did not send the money, I'm saying we have not received the funds into OUR account. We can't capture funds that the bank does not deposit into our account.

It is of extreme importance that you call your bank and fill them in with the COMPLETE information. If you do not include the last 2 lines of the wire instructions, we will NOT receive the funds.
