I've never seen Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter or any super hero movies. I do not get the whole fantasy genre of movies.

Star Wars is the only scify I like.
I don't like any other scify movies or shows.
Starwars has enough human eliment In the plot to interest me.
I think it's the perfect balance of real and fantasy .
Its why the movie is so successful.
The scify nerds love it, and normal people like me also like it.

I can understand & appreciate people who don't get it.

I never liked or watched cartoons when I was a kid because I knew they were just drawings & not real, so I get where you're coming from.

I also never liked reading comic books, but enjoy some of the Comic Movies, especially XMen & their latest movies.

I would scoff at people infatuated with Harry Potter, until my lil girl got me to start watching them.

The first 2-3 are kiddish but after that they get interesting & a great, creative story behind it all...

I'm really looking forward to this one.
I hate prequels .
I always have.
It gives me the feeling of I've already been there and done that.
So I never was excited about the prequels and they pretty much sucked except for the last one.

But I'm really looking forward to these new ones that pick up right after ROTJ

Yeah never was a Star Trek fan, and never have seen any of their Movies ( just the TV series )
There is a balance about Star wars, and like you said there's plenty of Human elements

Not sure, but I also liked Aliens ... SiFy ?? I think it might fall into that category ...

Love the X-Men movies ... but Not a Harry Potter fan even though I read the first book. I did try to watch one of the Movies, but could never get into it.

Have been a Huge fan of Star Wars since day 1
once had the Poster, some Action figures, etc... not sure where they are now, but heard they are worth $$$ ( all action figures still in blister pack )

Can't wait to see this movie... just too bad i won't be seeing it with my buddies, as we did in the past.

Never seen any of the Star Wars. Nothing against it. Just never sat down to give any a go.

I would pay a premium for streamed early access ($19.99-$29.99 24 hr rental), with home theaters now and days and idiots texting, talking, laughing sitting close, drinking smocking popcorn- really ruins the experience for me. except when you go to 9:30 am showing

i remember a few years ago, they tried this with Tower Heist (eddie Murphy and ..Ben stiller?). It was like $69 movie rental. You had a 24 hour window to watch but could only watch once. Unfortunately, I do not know how it did. When you break it down, $69 isn't bad really especially if you live in certain cities.

What order should someone watch them in if they've never seen them?

Skip the last 3.

Watch the original 3 . Star Wars(a new hope), Empire Strikes back, and Return of the Jedi, then you will be good to go on and all caught up to watch the new one.
