Another teacher here. I teach Civics (politics, government, economics)

Actually a lot of fun although not exactly what most kids are interested in. Few more years than I'd like to shake it up and come back to teaching later in life.....

VT, if you still teach Econ, look into Greg Hayden's social fabric matrix. I taught some 100 level Econ classes as a grad student & it is a good one to help get rid of the "lost & confused" feeling that many students ended up with. It's an application of Institutional economics, but is really quite simple to break down into something that even high school kids can comprehend.
