Buffalo has the worst defense in the nation, ranked 117th, and offensively, is almost as bad. Akron is no powerhouse, but averages around 400 yards/game, and can score effectively. It looks like a blowout waiting to happen.

Opinions please.

As you well may know, road favorites of 14 or more points are 10-1 ATS this year.

Buffalo has been a good team to bet against. I believe their record ATS is something like 1-8-1 within their last 10.

Akron plays against Miami (OH) next week and may be looking ahead to that game so I'm looking at the 1st half line of -8.5.

A Zip is a kangaroo.

Until recently, Akron has been horrible. I used to live in Kent which is right next to Akron. The Zips are a vastly improved team. That 1-8 ATS as a favorite may not be pertinent now for a team that has changed a lot lately.

BGO---I'm thinking exactly what you are. Forget the past trends in this one as the Zips roll!!! Buffalo can't stop a jr. high team, little own a "decent" division 1 school.

I am on Akron but it is more a play against Buffalo.

I am leary of Akron because they could not cover as a home 19 pt fav against a horrible E. Mich team.

Taking the Buffs in this one myself. Srictly based on the fact that this may be one of the weaker teams they face this year and they may be more inspired and confident in hanging in it.

Why is everyone down on E. Mich.? Granted, they're not the best in the nation but they have some respectable passing stats showing that they can move the ball.

NASDAQ:

I know what you mean about the Zips being uninspired about this one. They will be looking toward Miami (OH) next week. That's why I'm taking them for the first half thinking they will want to get up big so they can coast.

I live in Buffalo and bet against this team weekly and for very large amounts. Akron not a great team either and this is a lot of points to give up on the road but The University of Buffalo is one of the worst div 1A teams I have ever seen. Hell this team lost 38-15 to Colgate who is a Div 1AA team ( A good Div 1AA team). I posted earlier this season to lay 35 and take Iowa that they would win by 50 (They won by 49 and could have beat them by 70).

Akron had a 14 pt lead over kent (+10) with a little over 5 minutes to go and got beat in ot
they had east mich (+19) 21-7 in the 2nd and won 24-17. seems like they dont know how to play with a lead. yet I think they scored 2 late td's to cover at wisconsin. I keep hearing about Frye this and Frye that...yet I dont see the points....I admit on paper I looked at this and loved Akron....Im just not so sure...
