I just finished the questions on that findaspot.com and here is what they spit out as my Top 10:

1- Atlantic Beach-Morehead City, North Carolina
2- Morganton, North Carolina
3- Culpeper, Virginia
4- Branson, Missouri
5- Red Bank, New Jersey
6- Fredericksburg, Virginia
7- Edenton, North Carolina
8- Mount Airy, North Carolina
9- Atlantic City, New Jersey
10- New Harmony, Indiana

I think I put too much emphasis on small towns as all of them are under 20,000 population with the exception of Atlantic City.

I am a California guy through and through and couldn't imagine myself in any of those places but think a small town would be nice. A couple of those places look like a relaxing environment.

Anyone know or live in any of those places?

(I posted this in someone else's thread about Elko so I apologize for the double post...I would just like to get some replies about these cities)

Don't live near any of them. If you like tourist traps and country music, then Branson, Missouri is for you.

Atlantic City looks relaxing?

I haven't been there in almost 4 years but the AC I remember, wouldn't be relaxing....

LOL...no, that is the black sheep of the list. I don't know how that was thrown in with the others. Some of those cities had a population of less than 10,000. Not sure I could handle "that small".

I have heard great things about North Carolina though:

1- Atlantic Beach-Morehead City, North Carolina
2- Morganton, North Carolina
7- Edenton, North Carolina
8- Mount Airy, North Carolina

To be honest, I have never heard of any of these. Anyone have any info?

No doubt-Branson (aka The Ozarks) is about as much of a tourist trap as can be made.

I haven't heard much about Missouri but I was in Springfield once and wasn't impressed.

And Branson is about 90 degrees with 50% humidity in the summer.

That doesn't give me too much confidence in that site's abilities then because that was one of the questions and I made it clear in every answer that I didn't like humidity...heat was fine, just no humidity.

Clip; I haven't lived in either but I've been in Atlantic City, NJ and Fredricksburg, Va. on many occassions. To be 100% honest, I can't think of 1 (Single) thing those two places have in common!

That's why I only looked at the top place reccommended for me.

Who The Hell Could Live In Indiana

Except The Birdman? When I think of boring places In, Ia, & the Dakotas come to mind. I have a friend that goes to NC regularily and raves about it. He`s a golfer, so disregard that one. Yeah summer in Branson is the pits, great after 15 Sep to mid Nov., but then where isn`t? The Ozarks ARE beautiful tho! And Arkansas Honeys are the best! When I win the lottery, summer in Tahoe, winter Santa Barbara. Tho Truckee just had an earthquake!

I live about 30 mins away from New Harmony. They have a nice inn/restaraunt if you're looking to get away with the lady for a night or two, but that's about the only thing there.
