thanks RE and hotrocks for starting this...

so much for my "the Pac12 was chronically underrated this year" opinion :)

i want to do some more analysis on mediocre big conference teams vs. big upstart teams and how they've done ATS. and i don't mean against each other (unless of course they were playing each other). more just how they do as picks.

i'll append this here.....

ATS record by seeding:

#1 3-1
#2 2-2
#3 2-2
#4 2-2
#5 1-3
#6 1-3
#7 1-3
#8 1-3

anyone see a pattern?

FYI, on the dismal 4-12 ATS recird #5's through #8's, if you filter through for ONLY power football conference teams. you just lose Dayton L, St Joe's W, seton hall L. so now you are 3-10 ATS

big misses by seeding:

2 mcs 25 point miss
3 wv 20
4 cal 17
5 baylor 9.5
5 purdue 10
6 az 11
6 sh 13
can't read my own handwriting.... #7 dayton missed by 18 points or so...... i will check if that is correct.

SEC only had 3 teams? Is that correct? .... I have no idea. Would have assumed more.....

SEC was/is funny.. Vanderbilt considered better than SC when V had 7 losses and SC had 1 or something similar. V had tough non-conference but they didn't win any of those games vs decent team (won 1?? Have to check)

South Carolina should have made the Tournament. Period.
