9/23/2004 5:04:00 PM N/Wire SCAM ALERT: BetCharter involved in an elaborate con for $9,500 BetCharter (hosted by Royal Sports) is apparently run by con artists who contact players that have subscribed to free sports picks from freeMailPicks.com.

Once the touts (calling themselves "a betting syndicate") make contact with the player, they tout the player into making deposits to BetCharter. The bait is a profit-sharing arrangement with Charter fronting $86,000 with an agreement to split the profits 50/50 on games picked by the "betting syndicate". The catch is the player has to invest 10% as part of this joint venture.

The player is enticed with discounts until he makes the deposit. When the $86k doesn't showup in the joint account, the player calls Charter. Charter tells the player that the discounted price expired and he must deposit more in order to meet the requirements for this program.

When the player can no longer or refuses to deposit further, Charter touts announce that there are no refunds and the deposit has been forfeited to the syndicate. The player reports being taken for $9,500.

what is with Royal sports? they only allow neteller (the best way to get paid and be paid) withdraw up to the amount that you deposited?

why do that? if you win a bit why not be able to use neteller for whatever you want. back and forth this makes no sense

how is it better, easier for Royal to send you a western Union or a cashiers Check than just zipping the money with neteller????

am i missing something here???

i am totally frustrated with the off shore industry right now I could scream

you'll have about 5 people jump in this thread telling you they have 'never had a problem withdrawing winnings via neteller' but royal does the same thing to me. last time i tried to make a withdrawl i was told you could get your winnings via neteller if the withdrawl was within 30 days of the deposit...I have also been told on three seperate occasions that you cannot get more than you have deposited back via neteller, it would be nice if the royal rep on this board could answer once and for all what the policy is and why.

Just talked to Royal. Its an agent deal, a per head deal operated by Betmidas. Albeit not having direct responsibility nor being guarantors for this agent they assured things will be settled fairly and in timely fashion.

Bet Midas has no luck with the agent business do they! I know they were recently dealing with the notorious scammer Jacob Stearly. I'm sure some of you remember this infamous clown.

If anyone contacts you about a credit out, look out as it might be this clown up to his old tricks. He was sending people to BetMidas but they axed him.
