no beach, but why not try Oak Creek Canyon just
above Sedona.you can hang out by the creek,
if there is still water there.haven't been
there for a couple years.
From Long Beach, catch the Catalina Express out to the island (like $30). There's a variety of hotel and condo rooms, cruise the island, check out the wild bufffalo and the wrigley mansion. Trust me, clean air, chill people, good getaway.
never been, what's that like? is that northern new mexico?
quote:
Originally posted by Judge Wapner:

I was saying stay out on Catalina Island, it's all what you described except for a hopping nightlife (as far as I know). I used to boat out there and snorkel around. It's cool because you're so close to the city, but completely secluded on the island. I can't recommend Long Beach. It's too crowded and crime is high. If you're going to stay on the mainland, either go up to Ventura or down to San Diego.
BB,yeah up in the mountains.Cool town with great resteraunts and surronded by stunning natural beauty. Not sure but would think there has to be lakes in the area.I know there is white water rafting.
Stay away from Central Florida for now, may be about to get wiped out by ANOTHER hurricane.
As if living without running water and electricity for 2 weeks wasn't enough, could happen just days after things start to get back to normal. I'll just leave the state this time, so basically, I am asking the same question as Bigbet....."Anyone know a good getaway location"?
well if your going to be "on guard" all the
time in Mexico then you won't enjoy it very
much.
How about Havasu Falls?? you need to be
somewhat fit to make the hike, but very pretty,
secluded.just be careful if the monsoon season
is still active.it can flash flood there.
