Im 23, played about 1000 hours of (live) poker since Ive been 21, and up huge, when I turned 21 my parents took me to Tunica MS, won 2k. Hit a straight flush in dueces wild, and I would put 20$ on Red 16 (my lucky number) at every casino we went to. I won 4 times that weekend out of maybe 10 shots. At the time I had no idea what a freak occurance that was. I got the itch after that and started learning about casinos etc. Have never played any game but poker since.

Have you tracked the result of every craps bet, you've made in your lifetime ?

Math suggests you should be behind. I can't prove it or disprove it !

I don't have a record of every bet BJ I ever made, either !

Because Doug I have just been lucky. I was asked am I up in the casino and I said yes. I would never say craps is beatable or that I should be up, just am. No I haven't kept track of it, but I have no doubt I am up mostly because of that one weekend. I play sparingly, maybe 5 or 6 times a year now and usually won't buy in for more than $200 so it would take nearly a lifetime to end up down from winning about $9k in one weekend because I still sometimes come out ahead playing. Don't forget you can get lucky and you can be ahead. Its not likely, but some just are.

One of my bigger runs was when Indian casinos out here opened up banking on Blackjack. I had high school kids betting into me. Soon I figured it was such a gold mine I formed a crew, paying hourly and win commissions. You had to pay time, but believe me, these players were the absolute weakest, no basic strategy even. Plus multideck shoes, I started kicking the dealers heavy, got known and pace would quicken during dealer hot streaks, slow down during cold streaks, deep cuts into shoe, I took breaks when dealers went cold or switched up. What an opportunity. Being the house against the worst players ever. Of course it came to an end. All of my crew and myself came out sweet on that one.

Best Wishes...OF:howdy:

If you play the high percentage bets only in craps, the house holds a very slight advantage. Not enough of an advantage to make a craps table profitable, they depend on the sucker bets. However there are some people who think the dice may be influenced by the throwing method. "Dice setting" is a skill and not a system, and can be learned. There is websites about this and sanford wong is a proponent. They win in general by throwing less 7's than they should.

Can you be booted from a casino for winning too much from video poker? Have you guys ever been booted or heard of anyone being booted?

I am not a VP player, but there have been instances where it has happened. I know the Motor City in Detroit had a much ballyhooed moment where they kicked out something like 50 players and revoked all their comps they had built up playing VP. My guess is a team or two were hitting them hard and they had a knee jerk reaction like most. In LV all the locals places love all the talk of 100%+ machines and even give classes in it. They damn well know for every person who does do it, 1000 will follow and fail.

Good stuff OF by the way on the now extinct banking BJ games in CA. I met a guy through a dealer I knew who did exactly that. He took out a home equity loan for $75k, his wife left him and then he hurried through the divorce proceedings before she figured out how lucrative it would be. She should have stuck around, by banking the BJ back then at San Manuel and a couple other places he made $565k in 11 months, reported every dime of it on his taxes and sent her a copy of his 1040 saying "thanks for letting me keep the $280k babe".

Unfortunately, yes.

Personally, I have been asked to leave and never play again at 6-10 different casinos.

The Bellagio being the most recognizable casino.

I never heard of a slot player getting the boot, for anything but cheating, I'll believe you, though !

Jeff, In the the first 18 months of its operation, professional slot/video poker players literally took the Bellagio for millions.

With the variety of HIGHLY BEATABLE machines they offered, seldon a non-profitable day occurred for most that where wise enough to the situation at hand.

The scenario that eventually got me on the sidelines........

Only 2-4 individuals knew how to beat a particular $5 machine on a consistant basis, and unfortunetly I was one of them and management kindly asked me not to ever play slots or video poker there again on ANY machine, and in the process took away my slot card and marked me in their computor.

Please note, I was doing absolutely nothing that was wrong or would be considered cheating...................NEVER HAVE ANYWHERE.

At least you acknowedge the fact that your expected result at the craps table is negative going forward !

It's entertainment, for you !

I think we be on the same page, Wildbill !

Would that have been $5 FPDW machines Fish? That's the stuff of my dreams.

No, the only $5 FPDW that I ever played or even ever seen was at the RAILROAD PASS Casino near Boulder City, and get this they had a .5% cashback slot card to boot!!

Figure out the hourly on paper for that play!!

It only lasted about 10 days or thereabouts.

Of course, yours trully got hit over the head playing it while other pros made thousands.

:hitting:

Figure I made over $30,000 on paper on the play though, even though in reality lost money on the play.

-Fishhead-

ps- The machines at the Bellagio were a bank of $5 slot machines called AROUND THE WORLD. The specifics on how it was beatable would take to long to explain here.

Damn! Assuming 1,000 hands every hour that's $315/hr. You'd need a huge bankroll with which to begin though; too bad it didn't work out for you. I'm glad you crushed the Bellagio; maybe you can make a return engagement at Wynn and take more of Steve's money.

Yup!

The Railroad Pass was a great little place for awhile, as they also had $1 10/7 Double Bonus and many $1 bonus banking slots to go along with their great slot card.

Plenty of $1 10/7 DB in Vegas although not with that kind of cash back. I've heard, but not seen, that there are some $5 machines at the Palms.

10/7 was my game of choice, simply because of the higher denomination machines one could find.................one could really take advantage of a slot card with 10/7 DB. Especially on multi-play machines.
