i have a couple questions abt the pph services listed here at the rx.
1. in your opinion which is the best?
2. are there options to offer only sports betting? (minus the casino and horse racing etc)
3. would i have to pay "per head" and im assuming the cost varies? can someone give me an estimate or an avg of how much per head/per month?

im sure i'll think of other questions as soon as i hit "post".

thanks for your help.

1. Who's the Best ? Probably best asking yourself which is Best for You.... Who are your Gamblers ? what do they like ? Do you need Both Phone and internet ? Just internet ?
then there's Cost.... $10 per Head ... up to $25 per Head
I lean IDS because there is a Rep here at the RX that posts about everyday and she's a really nice person to have around.
But the bottom line is, your best option is what needs are for you.

2. Yes you should have the Option to disable the Casino and Horses

3. I just about answered Cost above. But how it works is let's say you have 10 guys. at $15 per Head , if they All play, make wagers that week. It's comes out to $150 a week.
if the next week you only have 9 Guys gambling, you will be charged only for those 9 guys. ( $135 )

Paying for your Players : You will need to put money Up Front, into your account. and at the End of the week they will take out
So if you put up $1,000 and you have 10 players that made wagers in Week 1, they will take the $150 out of the $1,000, and so on ....

Hope that helps some

yep, this was mentioned as well. apparently there are different packages to choose from. the way i look at it and for the amt of players i have, i'll prob just keep going the old fashiioned way. pen and notepad. plus i think it would be more difficult to collect on a regular basis.

i couldn't disagree more, you are looking at it as just cost....

but if you factor in how much more your players will bet... and lets face it, more action should mean more profits for you, the PPH's should more than pay for it self....

I can tell you if I had to calll in and get the line from you, I'd have only a quarter of the action I lay now on my PPH.

I've experienced this myself. I worked with a guy locally that did it all by hand, and I was there when we switched to a PPH, the difference couldn't be measured. night and day.

make the switch.

There alot of fly by night PPH sites around. They open up little offices with no solid infrastructure and offer cheap rates. Problem is they have shitty to zero customer service and they tend to go down during crunch time. You better off going with a slightly more expensive place that actually has proper infrastructure solid protection from ddos attacks etc. You might pay a little more but as they say you get what you pay for. I've been working for the same PPH company for 12+ years now. Trust me i've seen a ton of $7 bucks a head shops open and close.

When I used to use a Local that used a phone, pen and paper, once in a while there were discrepancies over wagers places and/or amounts of some winners/losers.

I haven't had that problem since switching over

drp, that's why you put in a credit limit. They can't lose more than that. There are so many controls in place. Obviously when talking about gambling there's always someone that gets in too deep, but give them a payment plan and let them make it right. institute a late fee. there's all kinds of things you do. but if you settle up at the end of the week, you still have interactions with your clients.

I'm saying drp, i've been on both sides and PPH is always the right answer..

It's a better business decision (youll make MORE), it's better on your work load, it's better experience for your clients.
this is a no brainier to me.

besides the intimidation factor of getting it going (which honestly, after a week you got it down) all you are doing is overthinking it. If you have players in place, bankroll ready, then you need a pph.

PPH is the way to go. The site does everything for you. There's options/settings to not include casino, horse racing, live betting. You can set the number of parlays allowed. Worried about a $25 10 team parlay? Well set the max at 5 or 6 or whatever # you're comfortable with. Give everyone a line of credit, not too much if you are worried about people getting in too deep and as mr. Duke said, good customer service is a must, in case a customer selects wrong team and/or amount, they can correct the error instantly.

I have been with mine for 13 years and i agree, those $5 or $7 can't possibly give anything but headaches.
