Have looked over the years and have always ran into a Road Block with construction costs along with some ridiculous fees

I don't mind the training, but not looking to be hands on FULL TIME.

of course I'm talking about restaurant franchises ...

I also screwed up a opportunity back in the 80's to have a piece of a 7/11

anyway, do your research and really check out the locations they want to offer

Unfortunately, we are not entertaining franchise or development opportunities anywhere at this time. But if you have a recommendation for a location, please Contact Us.

I don't think Chick fil a does true "franchises."

They are corporately owned and basically hire you to run it but it is not "your" store. There might have been some of the early original stores that are actually owned by the "franchisee" but not any of the new ones.

Plus side of that is you don't have to spend a million of your cash to start one as Chick fil a does that and actually builds it. again you would just be hired to run the store.

Isn't Chick Fil'a only like a $5000 annual franchise fee and they cover everything else? I applied to own one but didn't get selected. The Operators, at least in my area, are making low 6 figures.

Do you still own your photo deal Chop? How's it doing?

Its not a franchise .
Started from scratch .
I hated it . Gave it to my sister.
She and her husband both quit their full time jobs and it's it's the #1 photo booth business in about a 200 mile area from where it's located

Well you have to go to church.
And you are really not a franchise owner.
Thats why it's relatively cheep compared to other companies to get started.

And you also have to have worked there as an employee for at least 2 years.

And they won't allow you to have any other job or business interest if you run one.

Didn't you hate it because you had to give up weekends?

I hated for that and the fact that I'm not home half the year and could not find enough people I trust to run things when I'm not home sometimes 2 or 3 weeks at a time .

I got the point of getting pissed the more and more gigs I would get.
My sister loves it and is great at it so all is Well. Payed off the over 70k investment in less then 18 months and it's has exploded since she took over .

yea, looked at chickfila long ago, never applied. But damn you can make some money. Their application process is very tough though, like huge back ground check. Wouldnt be surprised to see if they check if youve gambled and had kids before marriage

But for food, franchise is the way to go, unless you know the business really well. Fast food franchises I would recommend
Popeyes
Dominoes
Potbelly
WingStop

Some of my friends owe mainly popeyes and dominoes.

Oh, I know this guy also (was an inlaw few years ago)
