You probably need to get the opinion of someone who went to the Super Bowl to watch their own team play.

Although I was pulling for the panthers because my high school friend was the QB it's still not the same as if the saints were playing .

The atmosphere was not anything like you would see at an NFC or AFC championship game.

Personally I would rather go to an NFC or AFC championship game then a Super Bowl.

If the Saints ever played a Super Bowl in New Orleans I would certainly go but outside of that I probably would rather not.

I was 11 years old when the Jets Won, I was Not there.

But 100% agree that the Championship games are better... Been to 2 AFC Champ, and 1 NFC Champ, and had the best time of my life at those Games.

Been to three Super Bowls. Seems like a very long time ago, now. '88, '89, and '90. We went to Vegas for five days before we headed back out to each of those Super Bowls.

First was Washington (Doug Williams) drubbing Denver and John Elway, 42-10. We stayed in Vegas and took a limo to the game in San Diego. Fun but nothing spectacular.

Second was in Miami with San Fran nipping Cincy with "the Drive" where Montana took San Fran 92 yds for the winning TD with under a minute left. Great game. Good party city, Miami.

Third was in New Orleans when San Fran obliterated Denver and Elway 55-10. That game was the high point of the San Fran Bill Walsh, Mr West Coast offense, Dynasty. Was a thing of beauty watching John Taylor and Jerry Rice running around open by 10 yards on every play.

None of those were my team and I still thoroughly had a ball. Glad I did it when I did because to really enjoy the experience it helps to be a young carouser. Drinking, women, and partying everyhere. Parties extravagant in a way that I had never witnessed before or since. The other thing that I remember was being wowed by the pageantry of the Hafltime show and the logistics of how they pull it all together away from the TV cameras. Corporate parties are everywhere. I was lucky enough to go to the best of the best parties including the Pete Rozelle NFL Party. I'll never forget that they used real painted girls as still mannequins at that party. Wild and crazy.

The SB is America's Party. I would definitely recommend at least a one time if you have a pocketful of cash that you are willing to blow. It's an extravagnza. But it's expensive.

I'm from L.A. so I don't have a favorite team. When I was in Marines the SuperBowl was San Diego, I was color guard and got offered to go for free if I wanted, but turned it down. I was pretty young and really not into sports at all, now I wish I would have gone.

Oh no you're not.

You're going to settle in with a 12 pack of Pabst and watch the game at home and invest your winnings in Pink Sheet stock of a Marijuana Vending Machine Company (EERB)

and you're going to Thank Me later.

In fact joe...just send the $$$ BAS gave you to me NOW. So temptation is removed joe.

I'll handle it from here on out buddy.

Excellent post.

That was a long time ago. LMFAO.

Re: "to really enjoy the experience it helps to be a young carouser. Drinking, women, and partying everyhere."

Maybe we will get a "second wind", wake up with the energy and mindset of the 20somethings we were then and live to party our asses off again.

Thats what I am waiting for. Been waiting 10+ years now. Very very due to come.

But, yeah....thats why I'm so intent on getting OP & his lady to commit Criminal Trespassing at The Renaissance because if those premier parties you describe...if any exist out west near the Stadium Ren is where they'd be and Mr. & Mrs. OP disguised as Kitchen staff would be in like flint.

Most likely those parties are in Scottsdale though. Far away from the stadium....SOMEthing worth investigating will be happening at WIGWAM RESORT though which ain't too awful far from Stadium...and worth having on radar.

If OP or anyone comes here though, drive in if you can. There will be NO rental cars left, Taxis and especially UBER, Lyft and the many gypsy cabs operated by (actual) Somali Pirates here will almost certainly rip you off and even if they don't the normal fare to Upper Echelon parties (Scottsdale) just one way from the stadium "on the meter" would go about $100 with tip of 20%.

This is whats most important and tragic about the remoteness of the stadium. We have among the harshest DUI laws in US here because revenue generated from DUI is among our biggest "Industries" here and our Sheriff, the very colorful Joe Arpaio worships at the feet of the God of money more feverently even than the most ferverant so don't drive drunk here. At worst, if you can't drive try to book a rental car NOW though I'd be shocked if they are not already all gone.

Best strategy of all is to, via invasion of Renaissance or alliances made in parking lot find a krewe with Designated Driver offer to kick in gas money to journey over to Scottsdale.

Totally do not drive drunk here though. Its apocalyptic.
