Or, no some that does?

Looks like a great job to have to try and stay in shape. I am trying to see if anyone has any info on what their commission is? It base a base rate, plus commish.

My stepdaughter does. Her boyfriend owns ten routes and she often fills in for a driver. They get paid a certain amount per stop ( not package) , I think the average is about $1.50 per stop and over 100 stops per day plus maybe $20-25 to load the truck. I think $200 per day is very doable but it can be over 8 hours. I might try it some day since I have an in for the job. No benefits though.

Doug, wonder if this is the norm? The position is for a contractor of Fedx. He pays $550 a week and medical, dental and life insurnace too. $1.25 per stop + the salary seems a bit high for a driver. i know it's a no bullshit job, you have to hustle

As far as I know.....there is no salary , you get the pay for the stops and pay for loading the truck and that's it. I could be wrong.

I know my S/D works hard and long at it. It's a good paying job for someone young with a limited ( HS) education. I think it is a 50k type of job.

It all depends if you work for fedex or a subcontractor.

I know 2 people who work and drive for Fedex. Both enjoy their job. Great benefits and in the busier times Fedex hires "ride alongs" who do all the running up to doors to deliver packages.

She works for her B/F who is a subcontractor....I guess this is why I could get the job if I wanted.

If you work for Fedex you will get great benefits, you will also have to piss in a cup.

If you work for a subcontractor you will get paid nice, no benefits, and you will not have to piss in a cup.

Personally I would just go work for FedEx, they're benefits are very nice.

It's probably not easy just to "go work for Fedex"....getting a good job like that is not like getting hired at Walmart.

agree, I think it is more like $200 a day ( maybe 10 hours) or 50k a year from what I've heard about it, and it is not easy.
