I know people talk about exercise as an antedote to depression, but I am living proof that this and only this works to battle depression. I have battled it for years and thought about anti-depressant medication, therapy, alcohol, etc. to combat it. However, the only 1 thing that really works is exercise. If you work out diligently, the depression goes away. End of story. People who try all of these stupid meds without giving exercise a true shot are really missing the boat. I know I am telling people what most already know, but I think that there are plenty out there who really haven't given exercise a real shot, and I am trying to help, even if it is only one person.
