Dante - Your thoughts are spot on. Cardrooms generate revenue based on a percentage of the pot(Rake). Per hand, on average, cardrooms keep roughly 5% of the pot. Rake is normally caped at $20 per hand.
The fact of the matter is Dutch owning that site is beside the point. The point here is how does a site making $0 from rake pay for its payment processing fees when its time to pay you? You're playing at a site hoping that the money he stole from those at Poker Spot holds up enough in order to pay Western Union, Neteller and others for accepting and sending money to its players.
Again, STAY AWAY! Lots of other sites to play at. Besides, rake is not all that bad online when you look at the $ you save by not tipping dealers and driving to our local cardroom.
For the convenience and security of playing poker online, PAY THE 5% and know that you're winnings will be sent to you.
My 2 cents
