Anyone going to watch the movie "TILT" thurs @ 9 est. ?!

the ESPN flick about poker.

I think they have been showing promos for this damn thing for about 3 or 4 months the run an ad for it every 5 minutes it seems.

at first I thought (and this was 3 months ago) wow this sucks, then eventually the ad wore me to the point where I said ok I might watch it.

Now im like oh man I cant wait, this looks really cool. im looking forward to seeing this. i guess the ad has brain washed me enough like chinese water torture or something.

anyone else watching this?

I will definitely watch it. After the build up I'm hooked. I can hear the complaining now how bad it sucks. The fact that it is a show about poker makes it better imo than anything on network TV (which I do not watch ever except for sports and the Academy Awards, for news CNN).

from the writers of rounders which is a classic poker flick (I have zero doubt you have seen this). and from the scenes in the promos the acting looks better than anything theyve had before. this could be the best ESPN produced non live entertainment yet.

Wil, drift received....Did any of you guys like the ESPN movie Junction Boys? It got trashed here but I actually learned a thing or two from it. Being a poker rookie I hope to learn a few things from Tilt.

LOL. .ya right. tony's got the TIVO programmed. hes having a party for it complete with chicken wings and shrimp he has asked ESPN 100 times already when the book is coming out along with the colectors edition DVD.

To be honest with you.......I didn't know it was a movie. They caught it on tape and kept it in. Nice guys.

Glaken - I watched the Junction Boys and got through it. The only thing I don't believe is after all that torture training the team (Texas A&M) went 3 and 6 or something close to it that season. I was sure they would win the National Championsip when the broke camp.
