Anyone getting call of duty black ops?

This game has nothing on MW2. I don't like it.

Single player campaign MW2 : You kill an enemy he is down for good. Black Ops: they constantly respawn. LAME!

Multi player MW2 : The best you will ever play for a first person shooter. Black Ops: Feels very uninspired and lacks the fluidness and excitement of MW2

Just my take on it. Keep in mind this was developed by tyreyarch and not Infinity Ward (IW was the MW2 developer)

Thanks, really appreciate your input. I have a feeling I'll end up getting it sometime but I won't play it. Like I said previously I don't play the campaign at all so that isn't a real big deal, but the online multiplayer I can't get enough of.

Unfortunately I'm not impressed. I just finished the campaign, it was ok. Have gotten to Level 15 on Multiplayer and don't really find it as much fun as MW2.

Sucks I paid $60 for a game I'll probably not end up playing two weeks from now.

Played one session. Don't understand any kind of interest or fascination with that unless you're hammered and playing with a friend.

I actually think the game is pretty good, I have only played multiplayer so far. It seems like a solid game to me.

Couldn't agree more. Christ, even world at war is better than this.

There was a point where it was good game after good game coming out, seems we hit a drought.

The sniper rifles are a joke. And I'm not saying that because I'm a quick-scoper (although I was halfway decent at that).

Some clown noob was standing in a window on one map and I was in a good hidden spot. Focused in, put my crosshairs right on his head and shot. No hitmarker. Said "what the fuck!?", and then centered in on his chest instead. Miss again.

Start to get pissed off, go in to take shot #3, let another round go right dead center of his chest.

Not a single hitmarker, and after shot #3 he finally figures out where the sniper shots are coming from and lets off a 3-round burst with assault rifle that killed me even though I'd ducked behind metal after firing round #3.

That was my breaking point.



But beyond the sniping...

I miss my tac-knife. I love rushing with marathon/lightweight/commando and a tac-knife.

I miss my RPD and Tar-21.

I miss my .50 cal.


But most of all, I just don't care for the gameplay at all. Just doesn't feel nearly as fluid as MW2.

Yes. This right here. Game play feels so disjointed in comparison.
