Dont hire a contractor.... simply hire some of his guys who will be doing the job for you anyhow and for half the price...

Absolutely the best advice in this thread. $50 a day, 4 guys, 4 days max to get the stumps out. Get them some Modelo and the end of each day and they will be ready to go in the morning.

Purchase all the materials, rent all the equipment, fly me out to Hawaii and ill do it for 3k. Haha.

I would definitely get another quote, yours seems excessively high.
