I'd agree with the guys above who blame the splitter. Something at home is certainly fubar....those are nearly dial up speeds.

just FYI,

I picked up a new modem yesterday (I told them this shit is old and sucks)....the one they gave me didn't even work...had to return it today for another one.

now i am at 4893down and 974up

thank god this thing is over 10x my old speed.
