Anyone ever try out Fan Duel or Draft Kings (or anything like it)??

Getting emails from these guys quite a bit. It's pretty much just a daily or weekly fantasy sports league where you pick players and hope they outperform the players of other people. Thinking about sending them some money to try it out. Wanted to hear some thoughts.

It's illegal where I live.
I did make a $50 test deposit several months ago and everything went through.
I have it up to around 300 now but don't know if I'm getting freerolled or not.

I would play it more if I knew I could get my money out

I am pretty sure you are getting freerolled but not positive. If it gets above $600 then the site will want your info to issue a 1099 and you will def be getting freerolled.

Could always chip dump to someone you trust and then take the $ on PP.

Personally I think it's bs that they even accepted my deposit. I was basically shocked it even went through.

i live in one of the 4 states where it's against fan duals TOS.

I made a deposit anyway.

He lives in Louisiana and it isn't legal to play there. He deposited anyway but when he wins over $600 they're gonna want his info and see hes from Louisiana and then its a wrap. Unless he withdraws and they don't ask and they ask for it later, but I tend to doubt that.

I just made a 50 deposit just to see if I would get flagged. I did not.

Then I entered a 10 team 1 day league and won something like 240.

havent touched it since. I'm afraid to go any further with it.

Like I said I was almost 100% sure they would not accept my deposit but they did.

I doubt it. Site isn't a joke, raised 70Ms in venture capital last week. They aren't trying to mess with the law by letting people in those states play.

I'll ask around for an opinion and get back to you but I don't think it will fly. They're gonna want your info before you make a withdrawal.

I agree with all of that. That's why I was basically blown away that they even accepted my deposit.
You would think if they did not want to mess with the law that they would have measures to prevent me from even making a deposit

Yeah it is a high traffic period lately and they probably don't check everyones IP. If someone tosses $25 into the big Sunday tournament and wins 100k but is from a banned state that could get very messy though....

There are a lot of websites out there now that give advice - from players to pick (values, matchups, etc..) to bankroll management.

I view it kind of like Poker Tournaments - where you can pony up the 200 bucks for the huge tourney with big payout (like going to WSOP) or you can grind some smaller stakes, or smaller groups, to make cash - and then take those occassional shots.

I have only played 1 week - seemed kind of fun.
Think i would have a heart attack with bug money on the line - pulled up my team Monday night to see how i did and looked at leaderboard.
First prize was 100K, and a guy was in 6th (for 15K) down by 10 with Ladarius Green. - so he was basically praying L. Green would get 10 points and bump him up 85K - can't imagine

Yeah it get's wild.....have yet to hit the big one, but gonna keep trying. I won a healthy chunk of change on my Draft Kings line up this week. Zeroed on my Fanduel line-up
