They are linqed with Harrahs/Caesars, so i got a decent member's deal...plus I booked 4 tickets rt/nonstop Sat-Tuesday on Virgin for $420 total...this place looks ok

Curious how that pool atmosphere is as well...looks ok, but I doubt it brings in many heaters.

Most (90%) of the people I drop off or pick up are either one of the two

1. Cheap obnoxious 20something year olds from California

2. Older couples (50's +) from the midwest/south

not surprised...i'm right in the middle. in this instance, it's so cheap and good reviews that I feel I have no choice but to stay there.

any rec for the best book for drinks to keep flowing on sunday? i would usually would go to mirage, and it's close, but I'm good with any other near spot. thx

i haven't been to vegas in a couple of years...drinks are still reasonably flowing in books right?

As you probably know, it's the renovated old Imperial Palace. The IP was a dump, so this is basically just lipstick on a pig. They redid the casino too. The casino is fine.

The rooms are fine too. Nothing fancy really. But its a clean room and a bed. The building in general is old and it shows. The elevators. The hallways. Etc.

The pool is basically some cement, a hole in the ground, and some water. Nothing fancy at all.

Yeah, to me a Vegas Pool Party sponsored by Mountain Dew's Energy Drink seems massively -EV. Posted the list so that you might "Venture Out" :):) if seriously wanting to do some Pool Partying. With Rehab/Hard Rock done, that one can by bypassed on this Visit.

Surprising to me that LINQ would feel a video depicting such a large % Black crowd partying by their pool was a "good move"....to promote that.

Spot on
and like Tanner mentioned weird casino floor lay out. You almost get lost going in a circle.
Positives - its a great price for the location. I feel its a little cleaner than Harrahs or Flamingo.
I am a big fan of the Hash House - http://www.hashhouseagogo.com/

I stayed there last week when I was in town to sign up for the supercontest. The room was updated and clean, a far cry from the last time I stayed there when it was the Imperial Palace.

Stayed there last year too....it was clean and modern.

Lots of young people, the casino can be fun in that regard.

Drink coupons when you bet at the sports book

Pool was gross

But location and price cant be beat if you like to stay on the strip.

Hash house is hard to find 2nd floor ended up in there for 2am Burger last year

and if you go out the south side you can find a star bucks, that can be a less busy than the coffee shop in the hotel

Have fun its pretty hard not to have fun in Vegas

Lived here for 15 years. Haven't heard anyone say anything about it. Must be no big deal. Have heard more about Monte Carlo as a value stay, Mirage is liked, uhhh, Mandaly Bay seems to be mentioned a bit as well. I'm local so out here in the burbs the strip isn't the talk. We think value and local. Stations has a monopoly and they seem to be winning but the gambling dollar is getting more competitive lately. Local bars and Boyd Gaming seem to be spending more money to gather local money. Strip wise I wish I could tell you more but people like NFLTrends have a much better bead on the strip. Stick with his advice as far as that goes. Beyond the strip it does get a bit more tricky because you can score great deals only if you're local but that's not to say you still can't score great deals.

Linq. Probably a great stay. In the middle of everything. If you want to spend money and live it up and have a great time this is almost grand central from my understanding.

I think locally so I think a little different. Some people when they want to get away the really want to get away and forget about life for a while. if this is you, do it.
