when i call to bust scamdicappers - almost every one of them now tells me the same thing - they are not handicappers - but "information gatherers." BULL SHIT! they are scamdicappers and it sounds like this guy is pond scum. the next time he calls tell him you wish to be taken off his list and hang up. if he calls back again - and it is him calling - have a referee's whistle nearby (i ref basketball games and i use a "Fox 40" whistle - they are the best - and cost about $5). when he does his sales pitch - ask him to hold on for a second. get the whistle and blow it AS LOUD AS YOU CAN into the moutpiece. after doing so - ask him what it was he wanted to talk about. i promise you he won't be in any mood to talk. if he is - blow it again until he gets the point.
either that - or ask for his address, phone and what state he is licensed in. i promise you he won't tell you and he will ask why you want it. tell him so you know which office of the better business bureau to report him to. i also sense this will suddenly get him to stop calling you.

Thanks for your imput WD...I actually thought about the whistle...this guy is something else , I told him he can give me all the picks he wants but I will not send him a penny. For a "multi-million $$ company" he seems pretty hard up for that $250 that will open all kinds of doors for me...he has ignored me when I told him I have been betting sports for 15 years and I all ready graduated from the "school of hard knocks".....EC

the next time he calls tell him you are a consultant. your fee is $600 an hour - which comes out to $10 a minute.
tell him that since he called you - you consider this to be business. ask him how much time he wants from you - adding you have a 2 hour minimum so you will need his credit card so you can process the consultation ahead of time before you talk anymore.
i know what his reaction will be - but stick it to him. when he tries to talk let him know that you haven't gotten his card number yet and that if he continues to talk without paying - you will have to report him to your association as well as law enforcement and get the $1,200 you are due.
at thuis point in time he will either hang up or insist he is trying to help you or something like that - at which point insist on his car number - or ask for his number and address so you'll know where to send the police.
