I did it with the LA Kings today. I felt kind of guilty. The reality is that I know the Kings better than any other team. I know with 80% certainty when they are going to lose. It only makes sense for me to bet against them.

I probably won't watch the game today though.

Anyone else bet against their favorite team?

Cheers
KLA

kool thing about betting against ur fav is that if they win (ie you lose your bet)...

you are not as upset...

Of course the opposite is also true...

I do all the time. I'm of the opinion that if you can't cap or get a feel for your favorite team you have no business putting your hard earned money on anything else. Last week I made my strongest move of the year on the Seahawks and I bleed Green&Gold. Of course I'm not always correct with my analysis but more often than not I am when playing with/against my home teams. you can't let emotions affect your action, imo

If you gamble and have a favorite team, your'e asking for trouble. no favorites here. a team might make me money today and I'll bet against them tomorrow if the price is right. I have hated teams that seem to cost me money.

I always bet against my favorite team. When you bet you have to put things like teams and player aside you are playing to win. Not to make you feel good or proud. Who know more about a team than a big fan who watches them everynight and knows when a player is having trouble or if he is on fire.
The only team I would never bet on is the team of bookies I use.

NO, because I dont have a favorite team when
it comes to gambling. I love my TN. VOLS in
football, but they suck to bet on & I made alot of money this year betting against them. When it comes down to putting my money up if I think
I have a big advantage over my favorite team's I
will definately bet against them. Just like this year in the bowl game when they played Clemson this year. I told everyone at work that Clemson would kill them & I was going to bet big
on Clemson, but I followed SmokeyWins on all of
his college bowl selections & he took Tenn.Big
that day, so I went with Tn. small & lost, but more than made up for it on his LSU pick because he had LSU big & half way thru the season I predicted LSU to win the National Champ. They have one of if not the best coaches in the nation & are a very disciplined football team. That was a great game with 2 great teams & 2 great coaches & I just so happened to be on the right side of that game with a large amount
of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on LSU. Didnt mean to get off on all this but ive got a little buzz going, but since Im on LSU/ did anyone else see how defensive backs are suppose to play football.
LSU needs needs to hold a seminar for all of College & PRO Football teams to take note to turn around & look for the ball instead of just running down the field & watching the other team catch the ball. I dont no how many teams I have bet on & all they have to do is look for the ball but they want, they have their backs & want make the play, it felt good to be on a team that could play defense & defend the pass.

I couldn't agee with the Col. more. If you don't know when your team is gonna win and lose its better to pass. The 76ers for example are very predictable. They are an up and down team that usually beats bad teams and really struggles against good ones. I would do alot better if I only bet their games.
If your team is the Fav and you feel uncomfortable why not take the other side? I call this buying a win. The playoffs are even better. We haven't won a Championship in this town since 1983. It's not like none of the teams were Favored, they just don't win it all. Nothing wrong with padding a tough loss with a fatter bankroll. Just the way I look at it. I Like the Eagles this week though.

Well, i have certainly bet against the Buffalo Bills and won, have also bet with Dallas who i despise and won. I try not to bet on the Bills unless i really really feel strongly about it. Moral of the story is bet with your head and not your heart when betting on your Fav team. seems to keep me on the right side.
