I am a huge UGA fan, but I wouldn't touch this line with a 10 foot pole. I think you will have a lot of people on UGA, but I only like the Under in this game every year.

Tight

Historically, it is a tight and competitive series. Look at the last ten years if you don't believe me. Columbia, SC is less than 200 miles from Athens, GA and only about 80 miles to Augusta, GA.

laying a TD+ on the road to a steve spurrier team looks like a gift? georgia will have a hard enough time winning straight up. i can assure you mark richt doesnt think its an easy game. if he wins on a last second FG he'll be thrilled.

I would like to know the last time UGA covered against the Gamecocks. I'm not looking up the stats but I know USC plays the dawgs tough every year. The dawgs could cover easily but this is a game that I will stay away from no matter how bad the Gamecocks looked last week.

Good defense playing at home getting points is a no go here.

Anyone know if USC's leading receiver is playing this week?

Prodigy, You are so correct. This is the type of situation Spurrier is at his best. Gamecocks have two extra days to prepare and Georgia is all pumped up after beating Central Michigan. Plus it is Georgias first road game. Give me the 7 1/2 all day long. good luck.

may play the total under when it comes up.. BUT I read before Vandy that SC defense had big holes in it and that game to me proved the point. Thats why I was on vandy and ml vandy for it. A defense with holes against an offense with power is not a good combination and regardless of history I think Georgia will not under estimate SC and SC just doesn't have the weapons to compete this time. I mean when was Georgia ever ranked in any of these match ups.. let a lone top 5?

If it's a gift it's an ugly sweater from grandma

Nothing good about laying 7 on the road against a great defense

bolded part one: south carolina held vandy to < 250 yards of total offense

bolded part two: well, since ya asked ... today is the one year anniversary of south carolina beating #11 georgia on their own field.

Wow, I am just shocked about the lines people think are a gift. First Cali -14 on the road against a decent team and now Georgia -7 on the road against a good conference opponent? I love South Carolina this week. Give me a TD at home with a great defense and I'll take it every time. Georgia has a very good team, but they aren't dominant.

I agree, based on how we have looked in our first two games, I would LOVE taking the chalk in this one at only 7 pts. HOWEVER, and I don't know how this is the case, we always seem to play UGA close. I don't know if we are just bipolar, we match up with them well, whatever. It's always close. Even when we suck, like this year. I still think UGA wins, but I like the under, and I think it will be close. Damn, I don't know how though. Good luck, regardless of how you play it.
