I have been watching him ref for years and I have finally had enough. He always has to let it be known that he is reffing a game. Whenever he can get involved in a game that is close he does. Last night he could have very easily let Lville end that game on a dunk and watch that place erupt, but instead he has the power to stop the clock so he does. In overtime he absolutely blew 5 calls. I am just sick of him. Everytime I go to the dome and I see his old ass I immediately get nervous, because if there is a close game someone is going to get screwed. He usually picks on the home team but always, always has a major influence on the outcome of games. I honestly would look into him gambling if I had the power to do so.

Don't even get me started on that old fart. I agree about looking into him gambling, it's totally unreal how many game-changing decisions he makes over the course of a year.

While I agree with you on how he is a bad ref I completely disagree with you on the end of the game. Notre Dame touched the ball first on a ball thrown over half court. By rule that is over and back on Notre Dame. Why would he let it go just to see the place erupt. At that time he didn't know(nor care) that Notre Dame was going to get blown out by 13. The correct call was made and the fact that the crowd was going to erupt should have nothing to do with his call./

that was absolutely the correct call last night at the end of regulation.

But yeah, the old man has seen much better days....

I had a piece of ND ML +220, so I was hoping it was a loose ball foul on louisville! Which I still think it was, but oh well ND really didn't deserve to win or cover watching the last 2mins and then OT... wow they blew.

Jim Burr is a piece of shit. Watching him do UConn games, he spends too much time watching Jim Calhoun instead of watching the game.

Last year, I forget what game, he makes a series of questionable calls. As play is going on in front of the opposite bench, he's standing at half court watching Jimmy, waiting to T him up. Jimmy sees him, turns around and walks to the far side of the bench, near the baseline. Evidently pissed that Jimmy wouldn't let him T him up, when play stops, the piece of shit runs up to Jimmy, who's ignoring him, to get in his face.

Jim Burr is overrated scum.

As for the call at the end of the game, I'm not sure ND touched it first, it was very very close. I thought the game replays showed otherwise. I didn't watch ESPN afterwards. In any event, the piece of shit likes to be an "impact player", so he would make that call just because he can decide the game.
