been seeing it on facebook alot in swap shops people posting they were paid with fake 100s and what not. Sure enough my wife has been selling alot of wedding décor (small sales $10-25), and was going through the little box shes been tossing the cash in and there was a fake $5 bill in there. Texture was off, it was faded, and had a faint Chinese symbol in pink writing like a stamp on it. I had seen a fake 100 like that at my work a few months back. Seems funny that people are out there making $5 bills. I brought one of those currency pens home from work and the $5 bill failed ofcourse.
I think the smart crooks learn what will fall through the cracks more easily.... Even at the grocery store, a $20 bill is examined, but not a $5. 4/ $5 = 1/ $20.... Actually with the technology out there it's amazing we don't see more of it as sad as it may be... Maybe I'm going to have to buy a smartphone sooner than later and I don't want one or the learning curve.
