Not sure how some folks do this every day, but I tell ya what its only been 2 months into the season and I'm already looking forward to the finish line. Maybe its just a case of the Monday's or lamenting all the work for little to no gain, although I do this mostly for entertainment purposes anyways. November can be a tricky month, especially as some teams start to mail it in. Might be wise to start to scale it back a little and then take a run at the Bowls.

Yes, I'm tired; and I'm tired of losing. Worst year ever for me.

Yeah, that 12 hours a day cost me a marriage, lol. Life is so much easier when all ya have to contend with is bases. But like now, when ya got 4 seasons to deal with (MLB, NFL, NCAAF, and NHL), the shit hits the fan. I feel your pain men.

Yes with injuries setting in and Vegas getting a better handle on the lines it gets much more difficult from here on out, this is probably my last weekend of CFB wagers outside of some fades of teams like Missouri.

Have a blast during MLB season.....football? This is my worst year EVER and it is not fun. Strongly considering hanging up my FB handicapping even after just half a bad season...I am truly starting to think handicapping football is impossible. Cannot wait for MLB regular season to return!

Had a great season but tired. Cashed out my accounts today. May come back for the turkey shoot. Good luck to all! To be successful at this game takes a lot of time and effort.

This is a great thread. I feel like this every weekend as well. I have been doing this for about 10 years, nearly everything football and some march madness. The grind is getting to me, and this is coming off my best weekend in nearly 5 years. I just cant turn away from a game on Saturdays. I get up early to run my errands so I can be home by 11am to start the grind. i have picture in picture going for as long as possible until the lady friend tells me to take a break. i have scaled back quite a bit. I also think that constantly being engaged for 12 hours on Saturday hurts me on sundays as well, if that makes sense. i don't put nearly enough time in for the quantity i do on sundays. the scaling back has helped me tremendously for the last few weeks for sure.

37 years of doing this, basically all year long. Am actually to the point where i dont even care if i win anymore, because i know the losing days will be following right behind. For me its just not fun anymore and its more of me doing it for so long, its entrenched in my life now.

The one piece of advice i could give to young people just starting to bet, even if its just for fun, DONT DO IT. Iam being totally honest, if i i could go back in time, not ever starting gambling would be the number 1 thing i would change in my life. It truly is such a waste of time and money. There is so many other things i wish i had done with my time and money. So thats my piece of advice for all you youngsters, who think your gonna sit around making your living betting sports. Not gonna happen. Trust me in 25 years, you will be sitting around your backyard and say to yourself, man that cd329 was so right, i wish i could buy him a drink.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but a professional sports bettor in Vegas once told me to never put more than two units on any bet. I've followed that advice religiously over the years and I believe it's served me well.

42 years for me , started at age 13 playing football parlay cards , got to point where i played $1000 to $6000 grand on a game i loved. Had to quit for a few years , started again last nov , as a good friend was playing 10 to 20 a game. I won every week , started at 20 a game , now i play about 50 a unit , and have bet $200 on my best bets. It's a grind , many hours on desktop computer , gather info everywhere. My book is a local and a good friend , don't want to get to crazy. Went 15-7 over weekend. The 0 for 4 sun night hurt , lost back good profit. I know exactly what to do and not to do, but it is so tough to stay disaplined. I always could pick a high percentage of winners , but always struggled with money management. A decent bankroll is key.

Think I just need to change up my routine and go fishing on Saturday morning instead of doing the all day betting marathon. That might help cut back on the overall number of plays being away from the computer while not having to witness any bad beats as well.
