It is fun watching angry, white dudes that have never accomplished anything complain about other races. All talk behind a computer screen but piss their pants when they actually get outside and see a black guy.

When I see a black guy out in public, I normally just say "you missed a spot".

Some of minority complaints are justified and the numbers say so. Some aren't and are just complaints. It's important not to paint every situation with the same brush.

so dont do what you do? :ohno: ok thanks for the solid advise

If a black actor or actress had a performance worthy of a nomination they would have been nominated..

Wil Smith could have been Nominated ...

Just saying ...

Fixed it fer ya. ;)

I thought Johnny Depp was also worthy of a nomination. It is a competitive award where both good white and black actors got snubbed. They can't all be nominees much less winners.

Don't worry, '24' is going to balance the score.

They're going to "cast the best actor" they can find --- as long as that actor isn't white.

But hey, good for them. If they think there is a market/audience for Diverse 24, go for it. As much as people accuse the Entertainment/Hollywood industry of racism, it really comes down to demographics, ratings, and money. Why do you think Paula Abdul was pushed as a pop-star in the 1980s? Why do you think the networks have launched so many Hispanic/Latino shows in the last 5-10 years?

The pilot, filming this winter, has not yet been cast, but the process is underway. We’re hearing producers are specifically seeking an African-American actor for the role, though Fox Television Chairman and CEO Dana Walden and Gary Newman suggested a Latino actor could be considered as well. “We wanted [the star] to be as different from Jack Bauer as possible, whether that’s an African-American or a Latino actor,” Walden said, with Newman adding: “As envisioned, the lead character would be diverse, so that will be our first effort in casting. As always, we’re going to cast the best actor we can find for the role. As you can imagine, bringing 24 back, we want to really try to create some distinction and make this feel different than Jack Bauer’s 24, so having a diverse actor in that lead role I think would be helpful in doing that.”
