For pucks...

I dont know about you guys but I lost a ton of fucking coin flip overtime and shootout wagers last year and just noticed this option offered at 5 dimes on the weekend. I mean who wouldnt prefer a push on a game that is going to overtime and potentially a "who can score and who cant" shootout? Is it just me or does this option look awesome? Wish I knew there was such a thing last year and am glad I found something like this. Anyone agree?

Wow, I can't believe this option wasn't available at 5dimes? I bet pucks through Pinnacle, and they always had the 60 minute, no OT included bets.

5dimes has always offered a regulation line on the day of the game. The reason you didn't see it until this weekend's games is because they didn't offer it for pre-season games

No guys I used a different book last year I was told from a friend that they did infact offer it thats how I found out about it. My question is dont you guys agree its way better to use this option as opposed to ot included? I feel it is much better ensuring you dont have to deal with those coinflip shootouts anymore?

My philosophy on shootouts is simple. If you're betting dogs you should always include OT and if you're betting favorites you should not.

Reason:
if it's a "coin flip" as many suggest then if you're always taking back a price over the long run you will benefit. However, if you're laying juice and go 50/50, it will cost you in the long run.

As a dog player myself, I went 12-13 in OT last year and it was profitable to the tune of an extra 4.8 units.

Had I played all the favorites in those games and had a record of 13-12 I would've lost approx 10 extra units.

Playing the shootout in the NHL when playing favorites is definitely a losing proposition over the long run. Playing dogs in extra time is definitely profitable over the long haul because it really is a coin flip and your record at the end of the season will be very close to 50/50 in shootouts.

Great point sherwood and thanks for the response!

I agree if you have a dog you want the game to go to OT or SO because they have battled hard for you at plus mony and the 50/50 coinflip will win you money. So therefore back to my point is why would anyone take OT included on a favorite?? I will put OT included for dogs but after I found out about this ml push option no way am I goiing to deal with coin flip shootouts with favs ever again. Take the push on your fav to avoide ot/so and start again so the juice doesn burn you in a 50/50 situtation? Doesnt everyone agree here?

The BEST is to have BOTH options available by having enough outs.

BETFAIR
BETCRIS
5dimes
Pinnacle

will all give you options on 60 minutes.

Other books will as well

So ALL 4 of these books offer 60 minutes (regulation) wagers including ML push option? Is this for sure for these books mentioned?

No. I don't know about Betfair but BetCris, (aka Bookmaker in the U.S.), is a three way line. Not a regulation line. Pinny and 5dimes have straight regulation lines, (push if it goes to OT).
