The Chargers moved from 3 to 2 that year to take Leaf. 3rd pick was a collossal bust that year too in Andre Wadsworth

I still remember where I was on that Saturday when the Colts took Peyton.

in 93 and 98 there was a large 1 vs 2 debate about QB's

Manning & Leaf

Bledsoe & Mirer

in both cases, 1 was great or a deserving good, while 2 was a bust

same with '99 akili smith, tim couch, donovan mcnabb going 1-2-3 ... as bad as Couch was he is their best starting QB since Kosar in mid 90's .... says a lot about the brownies

That's gotta to be tough to swallow everyday if you are Leaf. I imagine he is dead broke trying to land any 45K job he could get. It's not like he didn't have the physical talent. He just didn't give a shit. And to top it off, the guy that went 1 pick ahead of him is considered by some the best qb to ever play, has about 500 million in the bank and frankly, can do anything he wants the rest of his life. He could prob. get a million dollar contract a year to show up 17 Sundays on NFL today.

When Brady retires in 14 years, would be nice to see him and Peyton in studio instead of these dumbass homeboys trying to use their catch phrases while butchering the English language

no way they put Brady and Peyton in the studio together and usher out the homeboys. These networks have there demographics to think about. You would lose alot of the white female audience with the "brothers" gone

That is just flat out sad. This is why some have certain views. And what it really is is white guilt being taught everyday in classrooms around the country and preached by the media every chance they get.

Agree `100%!! Only one I can take is Tom Jackson, Ray Lewis is pitiful, IQ of a low watt bulb. Dungy in the HOF is a travesty!

And Carolina's best player Luke Kuechly played at St. Xavier in Cincy but was such a low recruit ( 3 stars) likely Ohio St. did not want him.

The difference is Leaf probably could've been good if he wasn't an idiot. Manziel could have Peyton Manning's work ethic and I doubt it would move the needle a ton for him.
