After NY gives up the saftey to allow TB to go up by 6 pts, Al Michael blurbs subtly blurbs in,

quote:
That eruption you just heard in Las Vegas wasn't an earthquake.............So a six point differential now with a little over 2 minutes to go ..........

Just thought that was a little funny since u know Madden had no idea what he's was talking about. lol

they should be quoting game and half lines on
the show... monday night is almost a
predominantly adult audience and how many are
watching who don't have at least some kind of
action on the game even if in a pool or a small
wager between friends. if they took the reins
off michaels would be free to say ''that safety
just screwed a lot of bettors'' lol.

I am sorry for using the "R" word - and NOTHING EL

i heard it - and knew right away what he meant.

as for madden - he lost it so long ago it's not even worth spending the time to calculate how long ago it was.

al micheals is a degenate gambler like the rest of us, if you know his bio, mom used to pull him out of school to go put down action at the track.
he gambled then, he gambles now, and he always will.
the truly funny part is, if you listen, his tone, inflection and response time is night and day when he wins or looses.
it's really easy to tell what he's got, he gives it up regularly without saying.

it"s great when he squirms.

GAME.

Il never forget what he said during an Indy game from a season or two back after they went up by a TD or two..."Now its really 'over'!". I was laughing for a few days after that one...all the way to the bank.

Al Michaels has been on games for a long time. First time I caught his "it's really over" was way back when SF finally missed the play-offs in,I believe, 1991. They were playing the Bears on Monday night and Bears were heading to playoffs, SF was totally blowing them out and Rice caught a really late TD pass to gain the over. I don't know for sure who his sidekicks were then, but they did chuckle over his reference. If Al isn't playing the games, he sure knows what the lines are.
