Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out why the Phillies are -200 favorites for game one with Hamels pitching and yet they are -190 to win the series itself. I would think the Phillies should be higher than -200 to capture the series, either that or the game one line of -200 with Hamels on the mound is off the mark somewhat.

i'm not sure either...i have almost no doubt that the -200 is on point with hamels but down the road i think the brewers are getting smashed. (pitching is worn down, no sheets)

This is very easy to answer.
Philly beat Mil by scores of

6-3
7-3
7-3 ( These 4 games were in Sept)
6-1

3-1 ( This one was back in April)

and lost the first game they played back in April ( 4-5 )

Hamels is their best pitcher, pitching at home.

Today's game being -200 and the series being -180 makes perfect sense.

This is playoff baseball, managers keep starters on a short chain... and we all know the Brewers BP... that combined with the season series numbers.. its -200 for a reason

The Brewers have a lot of value today imo. They have momentum and remember that they did get swept at Phili earlier. They no longer have Yost, and myself being a Brewer fan, that is way different now.

McClung has been lights out and they may use him as the closer.

Anyways, I took the +1.5

CC will be a slight favorite in game #2
Suppan will be slight favorite
Bush maybe an underdog
CC even in game 5

Lots of value with Milwaukee in every game I believe

If any dog should win, I would have to think it would be Boston.
How about the CWS?
Have they had enough or will the momentum of the past two days carry on over against Tampa?
Finally, out of the eight teams playing in this year's postseason, which team do you think has the best starting pitching staff?

Cubs, Dodgers, Tampa Bay, Anaheim in no particular order. I would look hard at bullpens when betting playoffs. White Sox, Milwaukee struggle here. Red Sox would at the top with a healthy Beckett pitching game 1.
