Anyone betting on Olympics women's BB?

I see where Russia is favored over Nigeria by 22.5 and the USA ladies are favored over the Chinese by 33. At this stage of the game are the ladies looking to run up the scores like they have in the past or are they willing to get up big and coast?

Nigeria played Australia close and the Aussies are still undefeated. China has been in every game they've played. I just can't see the favored teams running it up this big at this stage of the game.

On a related note, I see Greece beating Japan by more than 8.5. Greece has played well while Japan is not a contender.

Anyone else have any favorites?

US Women are overrated like the mens (but no doubt they will win the gold). Spread-wise, they are FADE.

I just spent 15 minutes capping womens volleyball. I am playing at CRIS

Kenya +2.5 +350 Japan is not so much better than Kenya that they are ensured a sweep. Both got equally drilled by the better teams. Kenya has a chance to steal a game.

Russia +1.5 -185 Russia is equal in every respect to China. They just have to win 2 out of 5 matches to get this one.

The more I look at this, China +32/31.5 is the best play on the board. The USA has already locked the top spot in the quarterfinals, so there is no need to push it here. China really has been competitive throughout, my guess is they have plenty of height and outside shooting to keep them within the spread. Go China!

I also like Brazil +6 even (bodog). Brazil is every bit as good as the Aussies and had only one slip up game against Russia. Brazil drilled Japan like 128-62! This line should be a pick, IMO.

I will also tail you on Greece -8.5 for a bit, but I am not high on that one as Greece is pretty lousy themselves.

I will pass. Nigeria is downright horrible, they could get blown out easily.

Well today was my first and last attempt at capping womans Oly hoops. I got my ass kicked. China poor shooting and TO's doomed them from the beginning. Brazil hangs tough for 3 qtrs and falls apart in the 4th. Greece non-covering win vs Japan.

So did I ppeter. I still wonder where the Russian and American women got up the energy to have blowouts. I would think they would save up some for later.
