I have been to most of the better clubs in Vegas. Here is a short list of the best overall in my opinion.
1. Pure
2. Tangerine
3. Rain
4. Ghost Bar
5. Voodoo
5. Drais
It all depends on your alcohol and chemical level and who you are there with. All the celebs go to Pure if that is your thing.

Dante...do not buy VIP passes, they are bullshit. Here is a link to a VIP SERVICE...someone will meet you there and get your group in. Don't count on greasing anybody at one of the big clubs on a weekend. Every club will have a line for the hoi polloi, a line of wanna be VIP's and a line of real VIP's.

Dante as long as you don't require private "dances", you will end up spending almost as much as these clubs as you will the "old-fashioned" clubs, you know the strip clubs. At your age and married situation you probably will have more fun at the strip clubs. I am 33 and you met me, I don't look that old, but trust me I feel and look old in these places. Unless you really want to oogle at petulant 23 year old girls spending their boyfriend or father's money, places like Rain probably aren't for you unless you indeed get a free pass in. The women won't really talk to you and will be downright bitchy in most cases.

Thanks. I actually never go to the strip clubs, but every male friend of mine seems to love them even at the inflated prices. I just think most things in this town are a ripoff if they are aimed at tourists and these nightclubs are definitely in that category. I have been to most of them on someone else's dime and afterwards I think to myself "guys pay $20 or $30 for this?".
If anyone asks I tell people to just go out and hang out at some of the good lounges or bars in town. You'll spend less and probably have a better experience unless you are seriously into the club lifestyle.

though it isn't hard to get into, Tangerine is a top notch club. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere is great for a smallerish club. I haven't been to Tryst yet but I have heard it is one of the better ones. When it comes to clubs in Vegas, bigger is not better. Just the opposite is true most of the time. I get to Vegas 2-3 times a year and usually with clubbing types so we generally get to 3 or 4 each time. Again, who you go to the clubs with has a bigger impact on how much you will enjoy it than anything else.

Wild Bill, you feel old at 33? 30 - 37 were the best times I had at the Vegas club scene. Older, wiser, richer....payoff.
The one thing I love about Vegas is age doesn't really matter.....money does though.
