Just got this book in the mail today. Haven't started reading it yet but am curious if anyone here has any comments? Any sections you found particularly useful?

I've got it. The front part of book is basic, back has best info, stuff like what % of the time an NFL game lands on a certain spread, etc. Worth reading.

For a newbie like me the book was an eye opener. The author has a website as well and the NFL statistics are updated on his website. By the way, The Wizard of Odds, a reputable gaming mathematician, uses Wong's statistics for some useful advice and guidance ( for newbies at least).

I didnt read it, but I have always liked Wong. I read his black jack book. the guy is a master of the risk/reward model. sharp sharp sharp. Played a few of his bigger unit NFL picks one season when he was making them available and did pretty well with them.

Have played side-by-side with WONG on many occassions in Vegas and would recommend you pay close attention to practically everything and anything he may say in print.

I've read it. If you are interested in mathmatical facts and using math to beat the spread and or books, then this book is for you. Hard to argue with math.

Very good book

anyone have a copy i can borrow?
Sherman: It's easily obtainable from SSB, JR Miller, LV bookstore, etc. You can probably find a copy for $5 at a used bookstore in Hartford, or Amazon. I'd look at a local used book shop first.

A decent book, but not the best I think. Wong's angles are mostly related to simple math edges you can get and don't necessarily translate into being able to obtain plays day after day. Sort of an add-on books for people in the beginner to intermediate classes. It will add some nice little pieces to the puzzle, but I think one would be hard pressed to do any serious play with many of his ideas. Sort of like if you are a professional BJ player and you wanted to dabble in sports and pick up a few bucks doing it to diversify away from your main game...exactly the story of Mr. Wong.

Wong holds back ( like any other author), on sports. Print is too slow. I agree with WB that Wong is much more expert at BJ. He wouldn't publish something like correlated hockey parlays ( long dead). I found nothing blatently wrong in his book, just not up to date. Even in his BJ books, 6:5 BJ payoffs aren't factored in, he couldn't have seen that coming 10 years ago. Best info is current info.

Info with emphasis on old rules becomes archaic, such as before 6:5 BJ, 3-point baskets in hoops, 2-point conversion in NFL. Wong's site encourages you to buy his "Host's" picks. Fezzik sells picks, etc.

These books are useful but you will never ever get the real valuable info

They hold that back and have to
