So far, so good on this end.

In fact, none have lowered my limits as of yet.

CHASE and BANK of AMERICA are the providers of my five cards.

sounds like they don't want ANYBODY owing them money. My limit was cut severely also ( about 75%), but the entire program dies 11/24

Never heard of them ?

Never heard of an existing VISA program closing up shop. I have no idea how big Aspire is in relation to other Visas. I never had any problems with them. I can only guess that they have a lot of people not paying them ?

I see lots of complaints about them, but nothing about them closing down. Most CC's probably have lots of complaints. I've had this card for almost ten years.

They were one of my first cards ever as they are a company you use for building credit. I recommend having Chase, Capital One, Citibank, Bank of America and Discover as your Fab Five..

Anyway..had them for bout 7.5 years..Started off with like 300 credit and it is at 1500..never missed a payment so their limits are ridiculous... Their plus is they report to Equifax, Experian and TransUnion monthly, but their low credit limits can be detrimental to one`s credit report. No big loss, I guess..Although they have yet to inform me of any changes..

Always proud of her credit..My Ma had Chase 32K limit, Citibank 27K limit and Capital One of 22K..She owed between 1-2K on each card..She had been with them since before the internet and when we had to stand up and change our tvs with a dial, never missed one freakin payment, always paid early and more than the minimum..Well Chase just dropped her to 3k, Cap One to 10K and Citi to 2K..Unfuckingbelieveable!!!..They claimed it was her income but it all took place one week after her 85th birthday..They fucked her and lied, I know her age was a factor. This hurt her because she was always so proud about her credit..Sad it was for me to see and someday probably same to me..

My limit was $6500, almost always paid in full each month. They upped the limit a couple of times without me even asking for it.

Now cut to $1773, and terminated in two weeks, all in the same letter.

I have an Amex card with the same limit, needed it for Costco ( no Visa there). I only really want two cards, need another Visa.

I have Home Depot, but haven't used it in years.

You are not the first to either have their Credit Limit cut or Taken away.

I have heard some stories from friends that had the same thing happen.

A good friend of mine had his Bank of America cards Stopped by them .
I think it was 3 Cards, 2 Stopped and One cut in half.

Mervyn's Dept. Stores in CA. is going out of business and just sent my GF a letter that her limit is being cut in half. Today we went to one of their stores, and they weren't accepting Mervyn's credit cards for payment, only cash or other credit cards.

Foolish young fool!

Many moon ago was I was 22 years old I got a Capital One card in the mail. It was for a 500 limit..I maxed it out in 3-4 days buying munchies, pills, weed and gambling what cash I could get advanced, thinking to myself tra la la la la that I would never pay them a dime back and get away scott free!..Well years later realizing the importance of good credit I applied for credit all over..Everyone told me.."no credit for you, you serious delinquency, you collection, you no good!..

I realized I has screwed myself in the ass by not paying Cap One...I called them but the account had long not existed and gone to a collection agency

23 years later I sad to say have over 20 major and store CC cards..Its fun to be approved instantly on line and I have picked up 3-4 per year lately..It does not matter how many you have as long as you owe less than 30% the limit and your debt to income ratio is good..

I actually have an old Aspen, Aspire and a Tribute card among them..I think they are all linked together..To the best of my knowledge, Aspen and or Aspire do not even have a web site you can maneuver your accounts so I have always considered them bush league..Why hell, their cards are so shitty they dont even work at SBs lol-Menace
