what is your injury? I am half crippled due to back injuries. I can give you great advice and then some. I need to know what your diagnosis is though

Probably the worst place to ask for medical advice is on a gambling forum.

During the height of my pill use, I was driving at least 5 people to the pain management clinics and paying for the script and then getting over 50% of the pills they were prescribed. I do love me some percs and still take them when I have them, but truth be told, if I had not moved from Florida, I would either be dead or in jail most likely.

Have had back problems the last few years stemming from a sports injury. It has progressively gotten worse and I have tried everything including PT, exercises to concentrate only on the back, etc. Keep seeing these and been thinking about going to one to see if I can get any help. What are they like? Any bad experiences?
first thing u need to clarify is what is your diagnosis
not all back pain is treated the same

Sounds like you were misdiagnosed

not really
i think the biggest misconception from the general public is that if your first treatment didn't work, your doctor sucks.
the flowsheet doctors follow always starts with conservative management unless your diagnosis is severe and emergent requiring immediate surgery, which is always reserved for last in every other case.

If after Physical Therapy fails, Trigger Shots or epidurals should be the Next step. and you can also try a little more PT with the epidural.

In my experience .... This is the Main Question you should ask the Pain management Doc .....Does he use a fluoroscopy when doing the injection ?

This is KEY ... Because without one being used, the epidural might not work 100% and if so, you might just say.. Screw it ! and never know for sure if this will help.

You also need to know that when doing the Epidural injection, it's done more than once. and that you shouldn't have more than 3 within a 6 month period.

Hope this info Helps
