I mean tough to get used to. Party poker, I try to get there thru bookmark, not desk-top icon. Doug downloads program many times, to eventually get there. Can't call support because wife is always on phone ! Default set at 600X800, so I have to re-size to make it full-screen, then re-size again when leaving.

I feel like a rookie with first on-line book, again ! The menu of games is daunting ! I'm up $.25 since starting with $50. I thought I'd crossover more easily, not so !

I feel like such a dumbass with this, esp. playing .50/ 1.00. It seems hard to me.

Doug is a long ways from playing 6 tables at one time.:sad3: :monsters-

Gotta start somewhere, I guess !

How well did you guys adjust ? Any tips ?

Doug- I like the software at DOYLES...........plus I find it the best for playing multi-tables at the sametime.

Start low and give yourself time to get comfortable and move up (or down :icon_conf ) as needed.

I probably burnt through $2k "learning the hard way"

Fish: I'll try them in time. I think I've got some learning to do ! I'm aways away from multi-table action. I'll play thru PP, get bonus, lose, whatever. I just signed up there for Sherwoods contest and experience essientially. I remember how tough on-line sports were, at first, even with LV experience.

It really humbles me to play for these stakes.:monsters-

Also, single table NL tournaments are a very good "limited risk" way of getting a feel for things. Still my preferred way to play, but you don't make (or lose) the kind of money you do in straight cash games.

TT is right...

Doug , download pokerstars and start playing the 5.00 / 9 man sit and go.

great way to learn . be patient and watch the other guys knock each other off.

next thing you know you are down to 3 players and you have cashed..

pokerstars is also the best for multi-table play as well.. IMO .
