Here is a link to a printable scorecard for tomorrow night's Oscar ceremonies.

Oscars

From what I understand The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, and the director of that movie Peter Jackson, are can't lose nominees. Natrually they are big favorites everywhere, around -1000 to win.

I know Lakerfan is very sharp, especially when it comes to box office, and hollywood in general. Anything you especially like Lakerfan?

Rail - You must have taken leeds on them because they are great prices. Right now at Oly those same plays are:
Aghadsahoo +250

Murray +125
Penn +100 ( worst of it here for Rail)
JAckson -1200 (cinch)
Lotr -900 (another cinch).

I lost a good chance to get Bill Murray +300 at intertops the other day, I have a feeling Penn is gonna get it though...

perhaps I am crazy, & I have seen crazy stuff in my day, but if Peter jackson doesn't win after being passed up for part 1 & 2...I would be shocked...floored...perplexed...& any other word to deescribe this type of feeling...

wilheim,

Most of the stuff I liked has already been bet to death by this point.

Still some value in Master an Commander to win Cinematography at +400 and Sound Editing at -250.

Long shot is My Architect for documentary at +1000.

I am not excited about any of these plays b/c the odds aren't as good a I got. But still value.

Like Railbird (he did post other across the street while better odds existed on them), I liked Robbins for supporting actor and Aghadsahoo for supporting actress (but those can't be bet at favorable odds, so not really worth mentioning). If both of these lose, I am out some big cash (Robbins is my big bet).

Lakerfan - Thanks very much. btw. I don't doubt rail bet those props at the prices he mentioned, just amazed at such movement. I know it is late in the game to find any real value other than some lightning in the barrel long shot. Good luck and FWIW I like Robbins a lot to take BSA.

Say what you want about betting the heavy chalk for Best Picture and Best Director, but I can't even fathom either of them losing their category. Has there ever been a bigger "lock" at the Oscars that lost ?

If Atlanta Hawks are +1200 playing the Lakers in LA, I know there's a distinct possibility that Atlanta could win. But in this instance, I can't see any way that LOTR loses in these two categories.

Am I thinking wrong here, or is this found money, even at -900 or -1200 ?

Halifax, you have read my mind. We are not talking about the 69 Super Bowl where two teams meet on the field of play. This is something very different, no your thinking imho is right on.

I don't think you will see any tears from Charlize Therron. She has won Best Actress at the SAG and at the Golden Globes and I do not recall one tear. She seems to be low key and unemotional.

SS, Many joints don't allow hook-ups, I would use PJ to a few, especially if messing with overwhelming LOTR plays, or hooking to a supporting-role dog in either male or female.

Didn't buy leads this spring & value gone as other noted, but think LOTR, Jackson, & Penn win, but am leary of Theron(don't like SAG winners @ Oscar, which is why Depp's absolute owning of Cap'n Jack role should have no chance), and after watching Murray(he was fab in overrated Translation) tonight, don't think he deserves over Penn effort..Robbins win-or-lose is deserving, but just barely in '04's toughest division(Baldwin my 2nd favorite)..yet wide-open!

Yes on the tears if Theron, as an 1st Oscar is different than SAG, but may need a photo-finish with a zoom-lense..

...Keaton, a cool customer and former winner, possibly too cool for school, despite the past win interval, and may be hysterically happy?..and what of the kid if she wins..wildcard?
