Futures were released recently for the upcoming NBA season. There are many total season win props that I am considering as well as other prop bets for teams to win their various divisions. Any thoughts on any of these? I will be up later this week with some of my plays. I went 2-0 last year on season win props, hitting the over 35 wins with the Cavs and under 37.5 wins with the Hawks. Any opinions?

Two that have caught my eye are both from the worst division in the NBA, the Southeast. Charlotte 16 wins? Gotta go under here. They have the potential of setting the all time mark this season. My concern with them is where the points will come from. They luck out playing in the softest division, but they will be outmatched against EVERY team they face this season. No way do they get 16 wins. The Bobcats will certainly hustle and play inspired ball, but that will only take you so far against superior talent. I look back to 2 years ago when the Nuggets won 17 games. This was a team that had more talent than the Bobcats and they also played hard every night. But they only got 17 wins. And that was considered a miracle. I see Charlotte ending the year with 11-12 wins.

The other is the Magic at 35.5 wins. I think they will be vastly improved. They should play better defense this year(lets hope so!) and they have the talent to get to .500 in the East. I think they even make the playoffs this year. I am not a big fan of Stevie Franchise, but I think he will light it up this year. There are not many guards of his caliber in the East. Plus with four games against the Bobcats and Hawks, that is at least six wins right there. Orlando Over 35.5.

I am still looking at others, but these jumped out at me. Shaq is going to love being in the East!!

RollTide,

Unbelievable that you just got done writing about the Orlando Magic because I just got done playing them for over 35.5 wins at Pinny. I also have one more play so far for season totals. I will have a detailed write-up later for my 2 plays. In the meantime, I can tell you we surely agree on the Magic, as I too played them over 35.5 wins. I will be back up later with the write-up.

WSEX had some diverging numbers last year on their Over/Under NBA Win Totals. Last year Utah opened 23½ at most books. WSEX had Utah at 31½. I have never seen such a disparity in NBA Win Totals between books. Utah won 42 games last year. WSEX has yet to put up their numbers. I am leaning toward Under 46 on Utah. I thought they played their absolute best last year to get to 42. Boozer was a great pick-up but I don't think Utah will get to 46.

I am playing the Miami Heat over 50.5 wins as a 3 unit play and the over 35.5 wins for the Magic as a 1 unit play. Look for my writeups in a new thread shortly.

I have never seen 2 totals as good as the Blazers under 47 and the Sixers under 47as last years totals. I hammered them good. haven't seen anything close to those yet but still studying. Do like the Blazers over 39 and a hook. They finished strong last year and I believe there better then last year in ally areas especially chemistry

Bulls under 33 (Pinnacle)

This team is soft, no interior defense at all. Curry and Chandler are playing for contracts but are major disappointments. Curry is just interested in scoring, no D or boards from him. Chandler cannot stay healthy. Very inconsistant scoring here, no real go-to guy. Gordon is having a hard time getting his shots off so far, may have to move Hinrich to shooting guard. By doing this, they will have a very small backcourt. Skiles has a hard working team, but with little bench support, no interior D, and no go-to guy, they are looking at 25 wins tops.
