i rolled out of big drawer with about 25 buddies for about 12 hrs straight this past weekend. well, actually, we were 60-40 high die. Thats a much faster way to get paid. Two people, one roll, high die wins. We were playing for $100 roll every 4th roll or so. Fun when you win, but dice overall seem like a scam unless you play straight don't pass only; no other bets ever.
Rhythmic rollers. They're easy to spot when you know what to look for. Guys (and gals) that stand right next to the stick. Always placed the dice in the same side up. They throw em and land right next to the rail and try to control the bounce. As long as the dice hit the backdrop it normally satisfies the pit.
Other than watching for them i play don't pass.
I always try to keep the boys at the table in action and put money on the hard-ways for the dealers. I've found much better customer service when I'm tippin them and if i "forget" to put an odds bet down and the point is scored (or don't pass hits) i've gotten paid without being down.
Lastly I try to slow the game down as much as possible. Since everything you do is -EV the less the plays the less the expected loss ~ and try to make up the losses in comps - but that it damn near impossible these days

Craps is fun. It's pure gambling, baby, and there's nothing like a hot dice table, in terms of entertainment.
But don't plan on winning at this game. It's guaranteed mathematically that you will lose, it's only a matter of time. No amount of hoping or positive energy can save you from this fact.
