I have found through my travels that it is very rare to find a gambler from this state?

Does this state have the fewest gamblers per capita? If not, what state would?

Again, if anybody here lives in Utah, speak up.

Thanks

Fish, I'd guess since it is the ONLY state in the contiguous 48 without any form of legalized gambling that the per capita percentage is the lowest. Don't have the data to back it up, but would definitely wager my money on it. Also, the population is in the 90%s Mormon, which is a strict religion forbidding just about anything fun.

When living in Vegas, was considering moving to the St. George area.

Dodged a bullet there.

Having said that, Utah is absolutely one of the most beautiful states you will ever travel in and is very underrated from a scenic standpoint.

Actually they gamble quite a bit on a per capita basis. If you ever go through SLC you might be surprised at how many gambling and beer ads you will see on the roads. Watch a Jazz game on NBA ticket or in a book and you will see that there are just as many gambling and beer ads as there are for games in just about any other city. They people of St. George are less than an hour from Mesquite. The people of SLC are 2 hours away from Wendover. The state has plenty of regular visitors to Vegas. They aren't necessarily big gamblers and they certainly have a lot of people that don't gamble at all, but don't be fooled. If I remember right they were in the mid 20s in terms of gambling dollars spent per capita ranked by states. As for the drinking, don't forget they were the state that clinched the repeal of prohibition!

before we went toll free we had a local score phone in Salt Lake. It rocked. More players there than you think. Also Vegas has a huge Mormon population.

Of course, many of them come just for the bargain prices in Vegas compared to on the islands.
