Nothing like a SEC atmosphere...............although arguably one of the best games I saw live was an ACC game where the Home team didn't even win (Florida State vs Georgia Tech), everyone in the stadium thought they had Seminoles beat, but Charlie Ward showed why he was the best with that 4th Quarter Comeback down two touchdowns............

That was probably my first ever real, live college football experience............I was definitely very blessed to see that game LIVE at a young age as my first-ever college football regular season experience as both teams were ranked at the time.

will be marking the grove off my bucket list one day but i'm on vacation at the beach for the next couple weeks.

saw ole miss travel to play a shitty tide team in 2000 ... man, hell of a traveling job they did! we still beat their ass (one of maybe 3-4 wins we had that year) but was a tremendous atmosphere so i'm lookin forward to an oxford game, just not this week. after 11 hours driving down here i can't do another 11 heading west :)

Bringing the RV over on Friday; if you have any suggestions on parking it would be appreciated. trying to avoid pulling the Jeep if we can find a place close that is walking distance to most everything. I'm sure the put the opposition out in the pasture.....lol.

Yea RT we've always traveled pretty well... Lol we always think this year will be the year so we buy a bunch of road game tickets when ordering our season tickets.. My first game at Bama was my senior in 98.. We played HS Friday night and took off too Tuscaloosa after the game... Dad has some Bama friends and we sat in the Tide Pride suite... Got beat in OT if memory serves right.

Ill do some research for you but I'm almost 100% sure you'll be in some big lots off of old Taylor road.. If it was me I'd bring a jeep... But there are several good taxi services and "ÜBER" is running well in Oxford.

There are two round outs by the two old Taylor exits now. They expanded the eastern side exit over to where the rv park was. Not sure if they expanded the rv area or not.. My grandmother actually donated the land where whirlpool trails are, they should have made that a huge parking lot instead of some dumb ass trails..

A Note for the Tide Faithful: The last time you came to Oxford in 2011 the parking was basically first come first serve all over campus... That is no longer the case. Last year in a "fund raising" effort the university went to parking passes.. All season ticket holders purchased a $100 pass for all games in specific lots... So you won't be able to park anywhere on campus, no matter how early you arrive.. You can not pay to get in any on campus parking... The only way you park is with an on campus pass which most visitors do not have.. I will post a link to some off campus parking and shuttle services. As you know Oxford is small and it will be jam packed Saturday... Probably 120-150 grand will be on campus... The stadium only holds around 63,000...

If you take the old Taylor exit and turn away from campus you can find some got lots just across the bridge and its a short walk to the stadium... I had to use that lot once because my parents went early while I was at work and used our pass... That's the only one ive ever used and I think it was $25 to park. That was last year for a big game... Wouldn't surprise me if it was $40-$50 Saturday. The parking was so good just 3 years ago.. First come and first serve and we could pull straight to our tailgate and park our vehicles... All good things come to an end lol.

Heres a link to help you guys out: http://www.olemisssports.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/traffic-shuttle.html

Agree 100% Johnny Reb... I have friends who love them trails though... I park in E... I like the big south lot... Usually easy in and out..

I have a daughter at Ole Miss.........went last year and tried to find parking to watch Texas A&M........after a couple hours of riding around, could not even find one parking spot..........I said the hell with it, and my wife and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and watched the game. The parking situation in Oxford is ATROCIOUS!

Land was donated to build a hospital and the city did whatever the fukk they wanted, they could have at least put her name on it instead of whirlpool trails, lol....... Anyway, I meant they installed two huge round abouts not round outs on old Taylor road so it's going to be crazy as fukk having all those cars trying to figure out the yields and right always on those round abouts, total chaos Im imagining... Not sure if you have seen what I'm talking about hottytoddy..

No disrespect to Ole Miss....in 09 Oxford Mall was free...now we let all the free immigrants in that we want so this Country cannot build anything anymore, but we got plenty of bricklayers that don't want their heads cut off so they come to America so they can Vote. Understand that America...

Parking everywhere use to be free... Ole Miss had one thing every one else didnt and it was free parking lol... When the university made pass parking it screwed everything up. Thing is there will be places to park on campus that they won't allow you to pay for... There's a lot on Campus with thousands of parking spots and a ton will be empty..
