We used to have a well known walker, I think he ran for a few seconds towards the end. Newbie, so that you know, hognuts was his name.

When I did it about 10 years ago I was making 30% on losses for the month sometimes more depending how the book was doing that month. If he got hit hard i was lucky to make 30% and if he was winning I was pulling in almost 40% and only during football season. It was better late in the year becaus the guys were trying to chase and ended up losing even more.

It was but my problem was that I was betting also and contributing to the total so I really didnt reap the full benefits of doimg it.Just some advice to you if you ant to run is keep your friends out of this because if you let them gamble they most often will stiff you when its time for them to pay you and then you have to do drastic things that you dont want to do over money and your friendship is worth that. Also keep about 5 -10 people tops and that you trust because its alot easier to keep track of.BOL if you decide to do this but you will find out in the long run its a pain in the ass and not worth the time and effort.

getting 30%-40%? Oh my, that sounds really high. Hmmm. Figuring that us on bad days will win at least 30% of the time, leaving that 70% we will lose--the book is basically giving you HALF?! damn--that's nice for not risking anything.

gravy did you pick the people you settled up with or did the bm give you a list and you were just to settle up with them.

I mean did you have a group of customers and approach the book with them?

If they were your customers did you have to cover all bad tabs or what.

I know what you mean....Ive been doing it for 5 years. Just was curious as to what people that did it got percentage wise.

I try to place my wagers with my other local books b/c if I do lose its kinda taking advantage of my book and Id like to think I'm not that type of person. But then again sometimes I will keep a few bets or a percentage of a bet but that's on my I'm doing all the work and if I lose I gotta pay out.
