Long time reader, first time posting.

Just looking for some recommendations concerning the online sportsbook scene ... what I am most interested in, besides getting paid in a timely manner, is a book that does NOT move their lines as fast as Cascade, Grande, Pinnacle, Hollywood, CanBet, etc. - basically any of the books that are listed on the DBS feed or G&J Update (although some update slower on G&J, but I believe it is more of a G&J issue, as the software is very buggy in its initial stages). Currently, I'm with Bowman's, but I am now getting the sharper lines (as Bowman's uses two sets of line - squares / sharps) and this does me no good.

I know about BoDog and SIA, but I believe I will get run out of their establishments pretty quickly or my limits will be severly reduced. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I'm looking at WSEX (1st choice), Apex Sportsbook (although I haven't heard anything good or bad about this one), Bet Horizon, DirecBet, Bet365, BetCBS and a few others, but I am looking on opinions as to how fast (or in this case, how slow) they update their lines?

I have plenty of outs locally, but I also like having the option of playing online and I want the best possible number going for me.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations you may have.

What concerns me with Olympic is the same thing that concerns me with Pinnacle, as they don't (reportedly) represent an accurate line on the DBS premium feed (meaning their lines are often delayed on the DBS feed and by the time I make my wager, the lines have already changed).

If this is not the case, somebody please correct me.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I currently subscribe to DBS Premium (software is solid when compared to the other line services), G&J Update, Oddswiz (when it's free) and Feist Lines (free as well), but I also get a few calls before the screen ever moves on any of the lines feed services, although most of the books move rather quickly now (must faster than before, as many of you know because of the DBS feed).

I'm just looking for a slower out, possibly OLYMPIC, WSEX, or APEX, but I want some suggestions and/or recommendations from all who read this forum.

TIA.

Ran across another book ...

www.wagerstreet.com and this caught my eye ...

The best way to make sure you get the line you want is to quickly go from entering your wagering to 'locking it in', or choosing the 'Quick Bet' option when selecting your wagers (note: this only works on straight bets as parlays and teasers require the additional step of entering the amount of your wager).

This will freeze the line on every game in your wagering ticket for 30 seconds. The line cannot move once you have 'locked' your wagering ticket.

Our lines move may move once you place the wager, but you will always get the line that is 'locked' in place for 30 seconds.

Sounds what I am looking for ... anything to be leary of at this book?

Try Heritage. They are rock solid as far as I can tell, pay super fast and have incredibly good customer service. They have -108 juice most of the day.

Their url is heritagesports.com

my opinion...

a book that is slow to move their numbers is a risky book to play at. They will get hammered on the steam. The reason those "fast moving" books are considered tops in the industry is because they know what they are doing.

Playing at "slow" books is a gamble in itself.

steam is not a lock to win and moving on air is even more dangerous,if you play in a top notch book you wont have any problem

Most books slow to move have low limits and/or will chase you for doing just that, chasing steam. Drunk is right, it can a bad situation for these books so be careful. The good outs most these posters have they won't post about anyway, they keep that for themselves.

Wagerstreet is fine in terms of safety IMO. He takes plenty of steps to take care of his investment.

Thanks to all that responded ... and I appreciate your caution and/or optimism. I believe I have settled on either Wagerstreet or WSEX ...

Decisions, decisions ...

If Bowman's would have only kept giving me the square lines ...
