Any reason why Detroit doesnt win tonight by 3 or more goals?

I am taking them on the puck line of -1.5 +165.


I just dont see how they can lose this game for starters. The line is -180 or so on Detroit for the game including OT.

Detroit is a pretty good road team in hockey at 13-4-2-1. Dallas is coming off of a long road trip where they were shut out in their last game and only scored 1 goal in the previous game. They allowed Detroit to score 6 goals in their matchup last week.

Their really on their game right now, their playing a team they met in the conference finals last season [ so they should be up for this one too] and they really have zero injuries at the present time. They are sitting starters right now just to get others into the lineup, not because of poor play. No way, in your right mind, you can bet against them right now.

Actually, the ML is only around -185, not -245.

At any rate, betting a favorite that high is -EV any way you go about it. Now, if you would make a -1 puck line, that would be a far better bet.
