Take the classes and have fun with it. But also realize that the classes have little to no relation to what you'll actually be doing in a real estate transaction. Just take the classes to pass the test and then learn from a good broker
Realize that there is an ENTIRE INDUSTRY out there that does nothing but prey on new agents. You don't need fancy tchotkes or books or "systems". You just need a stack of nice business cards and the wherewithall to meet people and talk about RE. Pass out your business card like its going out of style
You should read "21 Things I Wish My Broker Told Me" and "Millionaire Real Estate Agent". These two will have *everything* you need
Some RE agents are the scum of the earth, others are really good business people. Be one of the good ones
